About Spiff

Spiff3D is a powerful product customization platform that helps simplify the execution of mass product customization initiatives for retail brands.

Businesses can use their tech to help customers visualize products in 3D and allow them to customize the product, in real-time. Customers can make changes to the product live, and see the changes via the use of a simple web browser.

Merchants can either self-serve via our no-code backend, or leverage internal Spiff3D account managers to configure their own customized product experiences. The back-end means that changes can be made to these customization experiences on the fly.

While the most obvious part of their tech stack is the front-end 3D visualization capability, the downstream fulfillment side of the platform is the reason major brands like Nestle and Coca Cola have adopted our technology. Powerful automation and integration features means that the production of customized products is no longer a problem like it once was. Complex order routing, print queue integrations, WMS/ERP, spot colors, print-ready PDFs, SVGs, and other output automations come out of the box.

    Pros:
    I am a user of spiff and LOVE how easy it is to view your payout and commission. Before spiff, commission was a black hole that you always had to review and fight at the last minute.
    Cons:
    This is a hard answer, I am solely a user but love the transparency. Nothing against my team, but I feel like the setup and operation may not be as straightforward as I can tell.

    Customization gets complex quickly. We couldn't find an app for a marine client who had very specific multi-component inputs which were added to make the final customized product bundle. We tried all the big names, Threekit, Zakeke but Spiff was the one that could deliver. I'm liking their self-service backend too which makes it easy to make changes quickly if we need to.
    Cons:
    If you want to DIY, there is a bit of a learning curve. There's just so many options and that is a double edged-sword if you're not very techie. I'll admit that their service support was really responsive though and we got there in the end.

    Reasons for choosing Spiff

    Technical functionality and requirements for this particular client. We needed a bundled, customized product in 3D with custom input measurements at different price unit costs. Couldn't do this with the others.
