We bought it with my friends who has brother or sister ages under 14 so we discovered it is useful for their education life and psychology.

Cons:

Videos sometimes lose their charm for the children who has hyperactivity problem.

Pros:

I love the customization options for charting health visits. I really like that I can create a group so I can add in info for multiple students at a time.

Cons:

The site is a little outdated in its graphics and the look of it. I feel like it could use a little redesign to make it look more user friendly.

Alma has been a strong addition to our school’s operations. What stands out most is how easily it adapts to the needs of our school. The system is genuinely tailorable, which allowed us to set things up in a way that supported our workflows instead of forcing us to change them. It’s also incredibly easy to use. You don’t need a technical background to jump in and get started—teachers and staff were able to navigate the platform with confidence after just a short introduction. That alone made the transition smooth and far less stressful than other systems we’ve worked with in the past. A few features stood out for us. The attendance tools were a big help, giving us clear, organized data without extra steps. The communication features also made a noticeable difference by keeping staff and families connected in a simple, reliable way. Overall, Alma has helped us stay organized and focused on students instead of wrestling with technology. I’d recommend Alma to any school looking for a flexible, user-friendly system that just works.

Cons:

The only thing I would say I least liked was that it was not compariable to the system that was use for reporting to our district office.

Alma SIS is an organized system for the entire school, from Administration to Student/Teacher/Parent needs - everything is user friendly and easily accessible. The support received is also excellent.

Cons:

The ability to customize data, for example, add languages etc to the list - there are only a few languages listed, adn for an International School, we would like to list the multiple languages our students speak.

Their report card system was not user friendly and very confusing.

I love how the Spreadsheet Data Editor lets you update information in one place—it’s a total time-saver

Cons:

The bell schedule update process. It requires either a manual change or uploading a file, which isn’t very efficient. An easier or automated way to make updates would save time and reduce errors.

One Stop Shop!

I have really enjoyed our transition to Alma! As with everything, there have been some growing pains, but the Alma team has been with us each step of the way to figure things out!

It is great to have everything in one place - attendance, grades, report cards! So easy for anyone to access what they need at their fingertips!

Cons:

Being in the Central Time Zone, it can be difficult to coordinate times with those that work in the Eastern Time Zone.

Cons:

The medication alert does not transfer over when parents fill out the registration. We need to manually import them which makes no sense.

It is easy to navigate Alma as a teacher to find information. I like the ability to send out messages to families.

Cons:

I wish that the attendance section included students leaving early in the count of absent/tardy. It would be nice if the messages could be sent as a text and email and not require 2 separate messages to be sent.
