Procore to SmartBuild

GEN-PRO switched from Procore to SmartBuild. At the beginning there were holes where we found items that SmartBuild couldn't do that Procore did but working with the support team, they have been implementing new features that our team had concerns with. The Platform continues to get better and the ease of use is fantastic.

The Support Team is incredible. They continue to update and bring new features. The platform is continually improving

Reasons for choosing SmartBuild

After discussions with the [sensitive content hidden]. He came across very knowledgeable about Construction being a GC himself. [sensitive content hidden] gave me confidence in his product and that it will continually improve over time.

Reasons for switching to SmartBuild

The biggest driving force for switching was Procores pricing model. Its very expensive for a program that we generally only used 50% of the funcationality.

Using the platform allows our team to input their daily project reports and photos and generate RFI's in no time - accessing these features allows everyone to communicate faster and more efficiently.

N/A - we are very happy with the construction software platform.

Sorry to say, But nothing stands out as a most liked !!

Cons:

The pictures are grainy and cannot be tagged Trade(s) specific for search purposes I would like an offline option, when internet is weak.

Save Time Save Money

Smartbuild has helped us with our paper work from the field to the office, having it all in one place saves us time and money to run our business. The job site photos that are uploaded for the office staff to see and monitor is priceless.

Pros:

The project specific email that helps you focus on the one project you are working on, Also the easy of getting all your documents to interact with each other ( accounting with PO's) with out having to cut and paste them into a document.

Cons:

the message centre as a small red line that show's unread emails, just need that bigger to see.

Construction Management software that actually work

Pros:

We are using this software for three years. We find this tool simple to use. Features are easy to understand and implement. It Matches the flow of construction on site as well in office. Addition of accounting and online drawings mark up features made it more usfull for any construction project. I would highly recommend this software usefull for GC as well for subtrades

I have been using Smartbuild now for about 2 to 3 years.In that time I have found it an invaluable tool for my day today operation on site. The ability to manage all of my safety data organized and readily available. The ability to review, comment and markup drawings has also been a remarkable time saver.

Cons:

Need to fix bug with data not saving without final save.

Pros:

Smartbuild has made our daily tasks much easier. It has helped us consolidate all of our systems into one, It's an All in one software!. It is very easy to use and has saved us tons of time on our projects.

Cons:

We haven't had any issues at all. We were missing some Health and Safety forms but we contacted the help desk and they were able to help.
