Pros:

Very easy to use the software, intuitive and fast. Great customer support team.

Cons:

The AI did mistake the design on the page of a passport for an additional letter, though the customer support team was quick to help out, and resolved the issue in no time.

Simple to use and least time consuming with smooth interface.

Cons:

There are less options available to choose in the qualification check section for example: if any person with whose highest qualification is 12th standard, then what option he will choose it's a bit complicated. Kindly provide some specific options to those whose highest qualification is 12th pass or they are pursuing their Graduation degree That's all.

Reasons for switching to Zinc

Quite complicated to use and one can not use it properly on their smartphones.

Frustrating Experience with Poor Support and High Costs

My overall experience with Zinc has been mainly negative, largely due to poor customer service. When issues arise, responses are slow or sometimes nonexistent—especially when queries are referred to the technical team. This has caused frustration for new starters and led to a poor onboarding experience. Additionally, the service is quite pricey considering the challenges we've faced.

What I liked most about Zinc was the speed—it made the whole process feel smooth and efficient, which I really appreciated.

Cons:

What I liked least about Zinc was the customer service experience when something goes wrong. If an issue is referred to the technical team, you often don’t hear back—even after multiple follow-ups. The wait times can be lengthy, and it can feel quite frustrating when you're trying to resolve something quickly.

The turnaround time for check results to come back, is very quick.

Cons:

At present one can only ask for a professional or HR reference, i.e. there is no option to ask for both to be checked for the same candidate.

Pros:

Zinc is very easy to use once you get the hang of how things work. I also love the fact that you can text the references instead of calling them. It is a real time saver! Also, the customer service I receive is impeccable! Customer service reaches out to me at least once a month to see how everything is going and responds when I have an issue in a timely manner.

Cons:

At first, using Zinc through greenhouse was not very intuitive, but once I figured how to use it, it is easy as can be!

Okay product

All of our issues have been solved quickly which is great but I've been surprised at the amount of issues we have had in this short time frame... Such as errors in billing, errors in the difference between UK and US regulations, and just general reference check confusion.

Great customer service and very responsive rep. Easy set up and integration into ATS.

Cons:

My main concern has been that we often have to remind Zinc that we are based in the US and so there are significantly different legal requirements. I also dont like how Zinc tends to blend reference checks, employment verifications, and background checks. In my experience, a reference check is to get a candid response on how one specific person worked with this individual. An employment verification is to verify the dates that they worked there. A background check is to get the criminal background and maybe some identity verification. It has gotten pretty confused internally for us because of the way you have to set this up in Zinc.

Simply because Zinc was so responsive. Beth won our business by just responding to questions and emails and getting us set up so quickly.

It has saved an incredible amount of time for us as a team and we now have the confidence that we are always compliant

Cons:

Difficult to say we have just renewed with them and i didn’t have any suggestions on improvements because it does everything I need.

Pros:

The background checks are very quick and we know the status when it's really completed.

Cons:

I really don't have any issues while using the product. Only one issue I had is the references that I provided , the email was not sent to the reference for the first time.
