Pros:
I really like the AI generated summary after each meeting as this helps all participants remember the most important parts. No more spending time after the meeting writing up the Minutes, it's all taken care of with Spoke.
Cons:
Sometimes the Google Calendar sync drops out, but this happens with other tools we use so I can't tell if it's Google or Spoke.

Meet the Future of Transcription

5

I have loved Spoke from the minute I started using it, because I can think of 100's of uses for it and have recommended it to others. If you're a content producer or marketer (and who ISN'T these days?), you will love this tool. You can immediately download the transcriptions in Word, or SRT/VTT formats, and you can burn the transcription right into the video and download a copy of the video with the subtitles all in place. Amazing!

Pros:
The bottom line with transcription is accuracy--and Spoke is about the best I've seen yet. Every time I upload a video or meeting, I know I'm going to get a transcript within *minutes* that's in the top tiers of accuracy for the current state of the art.
Cons:
The editor could use a few new features. For instance, when editing, I routinely highlight/select an erroneous word in order to delete it once I start typing the correction. This method of editing typically sends me to the bottom of the transcription, such that I need to scroll back up and find my place again. You need to drop the cursor at the edit point and either <backspace> or <delete> in order to take out characters. You can't highlight them and then 'type over' them as I'm prone to doing. (I would also like to see some new formats for the subtitles in videos--but I think they're working on this already.)

Reasons for choosing Spoke

Got an LTD (no monthly fees).

Reasons for switching to Spoke

The accuracy was better and I also got a great LTD on Spoke that made it a no-brainer.

Pros:
I got Spoke a couple years back when they let you upload videos, then edit the transcriptions, and download the edited part - so I used to use if for editing longer videos into exactly the portions I wanted
Cons:
Unfortunately they recently disabled the ability to upload your own videos, so as far as I can tell, now you can only use it while you're on a zoom, google, or other meeting.

Spoke has saved me so much time

5

It's simply a matter of installing Spoke and linking your calendar (or not, if you just want to provide the link to the meeting manually each time), and Spoke joins as a guest to record and transcribe your meetings. If you just want to record your screen, it has that as a feature as well, which is perfect if you are using something other than the major three meeting platforms (Meet, Zoom and Teams), or you just want to record a quick video on the desktop. I've used Spoke to record all of my client meetings, so I can send them a link to go back and watch what we discussed, and to record webinars.

Pros:
I've connected Spoke to my Google Calendar, and it automatically detects whenever I have a meeting through Zoom, Google Meet or Teams, and joins, records and transcribes it all in full. This means that I don't need to try to remember to record meetings with clients, and it even records webinars so I can go back and watch them again - or, read through the transcript, and create highlights of just the important parts so I don't need to watch the full thing with all of the fluff. I can download the videos with the captions burnt in, I can make meeting notes, I can create highlights and just share a link to watch the highlights, and even export the .srt file to put into my videos that I want to manually edit.
Cons:
Sometimes the integration with Google Calendar stuffs up and I need to re-sync it. This isn't a big deal, but it gets annoying when once a month or so I find that it's not updating all of my meetings in my calendar. The video quality also isn't that great, so you really can't rely on Spoke to export videos that are of high quality.

Best transcription and anotation tool for videos

It's been a delightful experience so far and I see a lot of improvement from last year that I started using the tool, so I hope they will continue improving the service overall.

Pros:
The most important feature is definitely the automatic transcription that can work in several languages, specifically, I use it in English for work meetings and in Spanish for my University classes recordings. It also lets you download your videos once processed with the transcription included.
Cons:
Even though it recognizes most of the speech of the people talking, it doesn't get all of the discussion properly but that's understandable considering several aspects from the backgrounds noise to a very specific vocabulary. At the moment, it also lacks API support, so you cannot really integrate it with other tools.

One job to do, and it does it well

Pros:
The transcriptions are pretty spot on. There are the occasional items that you'll have to correct, but nothing more than as expected, such as foreign languages, technical terms, and names. I like the ease of sharing the videos with transcriptions, there are no hoops to jump through or extra steps to take. Clipping videos to highlighted sections only is also helpful for cleaning up the video and calling attention to specific portions of the video.
Cons:
The desktop app needs some more love from the developers. It works, but it has its occasional hiccups and the user experience is somewhat clunky. Interacting with it feels like interacting with software from the nineties. It looks good, but it feels wrong.

Pros:
The ease of use of the product, the interface that adapts to different needs, the possibility of editing the text by sections, the synchronization of time with the text without having to edit line by line, the export to multiple formats from the generated script.
Cons:
Actually, for my use case I can't ask for anything more, although it would be very nice to integrate a dark mode, because sometimes I work at night and the light interface affects a little, but nothing that can't be solved with an extension in chrome.

Smart tool to summarize your video meetings

We use Spoke to create actionable shorter videos from longer meeting recordings.

Pros:
I love the idea behind Spoke. I would like to quickly get the gist of a video without watching it entirely, and Spoke is meant for that. You can easily create a new shorter video based on an original recording, by selecting the most important chunks. That's a great idea with tons of possibilities.
Cons:
The main disadvantage is that the whole process of summarizing a video by selecting its highlights or the parts relevant to you is manual. AI is probably not up to task nowadays, but I'd love to see that as the natural evolution of Spoke.

Reasons for choosing Spoke

We backed up the project with a LTD offer, and I'm glad we did. It keeps getting better.

Pros:
This is one of the most useful meeting tools I've used. After joining a Zoom meeting, Spoke can take notes automatically (transcribe) with amazing accuracy. The other feature that I love the most is the ability to upload a video and Spoke will transcribe the video automatically. You can then share the video + transcription from Spoke directly with any interested parties.
Cons:
The UI/UX can certainly do with some improvements to enhance the overall workflow.

Pros:
Upload speed is fast and it shows estimated time of transcribing. So far, transcription for my videos and meeting is good enough. It managed to captured most of the words correctly. Highlighting the text and clicking on it will directly link to the video is very easy. It even has an option to download the .SRT file on top of the docx file.
Cons:
Perhaps there's an option to choose Asian English to get more accurate results.
