About Ideagen Quality Management

Ideagen Quality Management is a governance, risk and compliance (GRC) solution for the manufacturing, health care and airline industries. The solution enables organizations to manage their processes and take preventive action. Ideagen Quality Management provides on-premise and cloud-based deployment options. It helps risk managers to manage documents, audits, suppliers, incidents and risk.

With Ideagen Quality Management’s document management feature, executives can collect, store, access and manage files from a centralized repository. The solution is able to send automatic notifications to users when a document is created, edited and published.

The solution’s risk management feature creates a platform to establish a risk strategy for organizations. Ideagen Quality Management enables organizations to fulfill ISO 9001:2015 Risk-Based Information Security Management System (ISMS) standards. In addition, the solution streamlines the audit process by creating checklists.

Ideagen Quality Management also offers a mobile application for Android and iOS devices.

Great Support, Product Needs Some Streamlining

Overall the software can be relied upon, its robust once set up and is highly customisable. The Ui is quite awkward and convoluted at times and takes time to learn. Support is great:- very quick to respond to issues and are willing to spend the time to work through problems to ensure they are fixed.

Great support from the ideagen team, willing to help build your software install and spend hours troubleshooting issues. support is often quick and concise.

Cons:

Sometimes a very convoluted product, the UI has been added to for a number of years and could do with some refactoring/streamlining.

Qualsys is life-changing!

Overall, it has made an improvement and met a lot of our needs. The most difficult part is getting end users engaged in the system.

Pros:

I love the usability of the software. It is very intuitive, and has all of the features we wanted, or didn't know we wanted! The configurability of the system has also been a huge positive for us. With our old system we weren't able to fully configure, and the elements that we could configure required an IT administrator and/or a particular licence. I will bullet point the rest: Ability to link related documents Setting review dates for documents Dashboard Limiting permissions/viewing ability Ability for end users to leave feedback on documentation Automatically PDFing documents Embedding codes Training/help is within the system Overall the software is miles ahead of the others, with so many positive points!

Cons:

The cons: There is not an option to select the information shown in an issue report The forms are "fully configurable", for example some information has to be there, and it has to be at the top of the form rather than in another section Kickstarting workflows is a little more clunky than the "pass to" function The "if" option could have a lot more power (but I understand this is a recent development) You can't do a blank search for all documents (filtering with topics for example)

Qualsys had the full package in comparison, and was a lot more user friendly.

Reasons for switching to Ideagen Quality Management

DDM was very old fashioned, not very configurable, and difficult to train to end users.

The software has various modules and is configurable to your liking. You can customise the workflow to your preferences and have the ability to build forms and templates yourself. It also has an easy access management module. You can also set up workflows for stages with different actions depending on the workflow you need.

Cons:

The software lacks a proper reporting application for operational staff. In addition, there is no suitable place for administering safety impact risk assessments in line with aviation regulations.

Cons:

Audits process is long winded and could be simplified by being able to raise on close on the app. Modules are not interactive with each other and operate independently.

Previous system was no longer supported and users were not happy with it. Lost all buy in and employees deviated from the system so losing visibility of the EHSQ performance from a central function.

Medical Devices EQMS

Very happy overall with the document and issue manager modules utilised within EQMS. Have already had a product upgrade and the customer support from the rep is excellent.

eQMS Software Reinvigorated Our Quality Compliance Processes!

We gave Qualsys an extremely short lead-time to embed Document Manager and Issue Manager - both deadlines were met in time which was HUGELY impressive. Customer support / service is impeccable.

The reports are not configurable enough for our processes

The software just looked and felt better then Q-Pulse. The clever features and ease of use sold it to us.

Reasons for switching to Ideagen Quality Management

DDM was originally brought into the business as a document management software tool. We were told that the software could handle a full eQMS, which when rolled out proved extremely difficult.

Documentation Control and CAPA/Workflow modules work well and allow my organization to maintain compliance and improve our internal processes. Supplier Control and Audit module also perform well.

Cons:

User interface is dated and sometimes software is not the most intuitive to use.

Qpulse is a great Quality Management software

Having used Qpulse now for nearly 15 years, I found it very useful at time for audit when all data is in one central storage area. It also ensure that everyone is using current version of any document

Pros:

We used Qpulse CAPA Module to manage a core process within the company. We then found Audit Module was very useful for managing Internal Audits. Document Module was used as central storage area for ISO documentation.

Cons:

Where one person is named a couple of times within one template, they get an email for every action. Unfortunately they are responsible for a number of separate actions so we had no way around this as we needed each action to be recorded.
