About Radware Alteon

Alteon is a cloud-based and on-premise application delivery and security platform designed to help businesses of all sizes manage application traffic across cloud and data centers and integrates with application protection services to manage cyberthreats. The solution generates analytics to help monitor application service level agreements (SLAs) and cyberattacks.

It comes with global elastic licensing (GEL) and provides protection to investments and workloads. Alteon enables users to access an automation scripts library to manage private cloud environments such as OpenStack and VMware and can be connected to DevOps CI/CD processes. The solution also provides bot management, threat intelligence, and API protection tools and comes with an integrated web application firewall (WAF).

we are satisified with they way alteon switch work , managing multiple farm and SSL is on few click job, monitoring concurrent connection , cpu load , etc are easily available. SSL profile , vlan farm are best key point of alteon switch.

Best Load Balancer from Radware

It provides help to distribute client connections to application servers. Integrated WAF protects web servers from L7 attacks such as XSS, XSRF, Sql Injection, etc. We also use it to offload SSL traffic.

Pros:

Alteon VA is the virtual appliance of the load balancer, it supports all major hypervisors. The configuration of Alteon is very easy. it is not just for server load balancing, we can use it for Link Load balancing, and SSL Inspection, it also has integrated WAF for web application security. the interface is very easy to navigate, and adware's tac support is great. Manage SSL certificates, configure SSL offloading, and do many kinds of health checks to ensure connectivity with application servers, all this configuration is very straightforward.

Cons:

Appshape script configuration is a bit complicated. apart from this, I didn't find anything to dislike about Alteon.
