A program that allows you to easily transfer files between computers

5

It is an excellent program that facilitates file management, even improves the experience for users who are not used to Linux. This program allows you to better organize and manage documents from various computers and present them in a much more user-friendly way. In addition, it provides great security to data transfer

Pros:
This program has helped me in my old job to manage files between several computers on a network and the most impressive thing is that it did not matter that they had other operating systems, it was a quite heterogeneous environment, the personal computers had Windows while the servers had Centos, Ubuntu, Kali and more. It is also important to say that this file transfer was very secure.
Cons:
I had very few problems with this program, very rarely I could not access certain IPs for which I had permission. Also, it doesn't keep a clear record of who moves, edits, or deletes files.

A must have for transferring files via SFTP on Windows

5

Using WinSCP allows us to instantly connect to remote servers to view the files being transferred from automated processes and ensure that they are being sent on time. Without WinSCP we would have to manage each individual account manually and connect using command lines.

Pros:
WinSCP is easy to use and makes transferring files from a Windows computer via SFTP quick and pain free. It is only a small download and installs within seconds. There are no costs to using WinSCP and the built-in import/export for SFTP sites means that you easily transfer the settings between systems.
Cons:
The only thing that I would change with WinSCP is the ability to upload/download the files by double clicking on them rather than having to right click and select from the menu or click the button on the toolbar. However, this is because I am modifying individual files as opposed to bulk transfers.

Power and Utility of WinSCP makes it an essential tool for IT Professionals

5

I use WinSCP to help other IT professionals navigate Linux and Linux file structures. For anyone intimidated by navigating around in Linux, this tool should be the first one you search for and install. Even with knowledge of Linux and commands, I still use WinSCP for editing files, sync'ing and comparing directory contents, and finding files. Other commands like generating a session with code/script and automatic directory sync'ing are really neat features and in the right situation could be incredibly helpful.

Pros:
Not everyone knows how to get around in Linux, get file details, find files, and compare files. WinSCP provides an easy to use familiar UI to guide anyone who feels comfortable with Windows Explorer. With the price (free with an option to donate), its really a must have.
Cons:
There are times where window resizing is off (namely the file searching) which can be a nuisance. Other little UI glitches come up from time to time, but overall I would say its pretty minimal.

Transfer data with WinSCP

5

Overall a good experience with WinSCP. It is one of the most widely used desktop application by IT industry. I have been using it for more than 10 years now. Simple and easy interface with secure file transfer. Only issue is being an old application, it still has inconsistencies such as connection lose and rework. But overall a great tool for daily file transfer from remote machines to local machines.

Pros:
Very niche interface, users can easily use it without any help. Credentials can be saved for the future use. Data can be accessed over sFTP securely.
Cons:
Consistent disconnection, heavy files take time to transfer ever over a good internet connection. Connection lose will result in rework of copying and pasting.

It is really amazing to have WinSCP as a File transfer Protocol, which also supports SFTP, HTML edits. I never reached the customer support for guidence, because all the things are very simple in the form of graphical interface.

Pros:
WinSCP is quick in it's operation. The User Interface of WinSCP is intutive and graphical, makes the accessibility straightforward. We can transfer all required files from our workstation to remote system just by few clicks. The creation, moderation, and management of directories in WinSCP is very simple to perform.
Cons:
The connectivity issue while performing file transfer is the only setback of WinSCP. The transfer speed is medium to low, and good to use at the time of low network traffic.

WinSCP, the easiest way to transfer files between machines with different operating systems

5

The use that I have given to this software is to be able to copy, move and rename files on the company server, from the computer that I use in the field, this has been very useful since due to the type of work I do I am forced to use a Windows computer, while the company server runs Linux

Pros:
What I like the most about this software is that it is easy to use, very intuitive and friendly. Having a graphical interface is much easier to use for Windows users who have no experience in handling other operating systems such as Linux. The installation file is very small, which is quite useful when internet connections are not very fast.
Cons:
Maybe what I don't like so much is the graphical interface, the explorer interface is a bit outdated for those who have only worked with modern versions of Windows, this is much more noticeable if the commander interface is used. In addition, to change between one interface and another, you have to enter the software preferences to do so.
