Pros / Cons
  • Microsoft Planner is a hidden gem, it's completely in the cloud, so you can take it anywhere and is a great tool for personal use or for businesses to keep track of things. But where it really starts to shine is with the ability to automate tasks - in conjunction with Microsoft Forms and Power Automate, you can have different teams or customers fill in a form, which then populates Planner with tasks.
  • It becomes a little challenging on this especially if you want to customize certain things for your projects's workflow which you will eventually have to find a way around, but that is my concern.

  • Strong integration and automation capabilities — it can integrate with many third-party tools, and supports automations, aiding productivity and reducing manual work.
  • monday.com requires a minimum of three paid users, and essential features (Gantt charts, time tracking, advanced reporting) are often locked behind more expensive tiers. Although functional, the mobile app doesn’t always match desktop capabilities and has some issues.
