About Prophix One

Prophix is a financial management solution used for financial consolidation, budgeting, analysis, planning and management reporting. The solution provides a spreadsheet-style interface that helps users to analyze financial data and organize information. Prophix can be deployed both cloud and on-premises and is suitable for a range of industries such as financial services, construction, government, and utilities.

Prophix lets users manage information such as budgeting requirements, cash flow, balance sheets and income statements. Data analysis tools are also available. The solution supports both non-financial and financial budgeting, including top down, bottom up, zero-based and activity-based methodologies.

The solution offers multiple modeling options for forecasting such as inter-period forecasts, "‘what-if" analysis and rolling forecasts. It also provides modules for saving personnel records, such as salary, medical expenses and tax calculations.

Support is offered via phone and email.

Intuitive platform andf excellent data integration

Prophix is an excellent CPM tool and really delivers in automating budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, freeing up finance teams to focus on strategic analysis rather than manual tasks.

Pros:

Prophix has helped streamline our reporting and has helped our monthly reporting become more efficient. data is refreshed extremely quickly and we have full visibility of our performance. Intuitive to use and users are able to build or modify reports to suit their needs.

Cons:

Growing their product offering significantly and hard to keep with all the new offerings. Other than this no negatives as they are always listening to customers.

Pros:

It is a very intuitive software. It is easy to learn (and to teach). I especially like the Excel add-in functionality, which we use for financial consolidation, managerial reporting, budgeting and monthly forecasting. It is also a great tool for ad hoc reporting.

Cons:

Like any software, it can be sluggish sometimes - especially when dealing with large amounts of data.

Pros:

I like the intuitive nature of the web interface for file management and the capability to have alternate hierarchies for different reporting requirements.

Cons:

The inability to integrate reports into Powerpoint dynamically and the inability to easily build reports in excel and link them back to Prophix.

Just getting started

We are just getting started but it is exactly what we were looking for so far. We were searching for a while and when through many different products to arrive at Prophix

It pulls all of our data together in one spot and allows for multiple different layers of the data/reports

Cons:

It is a little bit of a learning curve to understand the pieces. We are taking a very through and detailed approach.

The overall product flexibility and functionality. They have a great supporting team to help get it set up and continue to support you throughout the journey.

Cons:

Some of the complexity of setting it up and getting accustomed to how it works. It's not easy to learn, so be prepared to put in the time up front.

Cloud Based - don't have to send out P&Ls to all departments anymore Budget - everyone is using the same template and it auto consolidates it all. no more manual work in spreadsheets One central source of data, no longer worrying about different spreadsheets saying different things and having to link or update the data in all of them.

Cons:

Report Binder requies duplicate versions of reports

Very good. Was involved from implementation to rollout and now migration to their AI cube. Creating drill down reports.

Cloud based Excel like entry with add hoc reporting. It was easy to move Finance team to Prophix for forecasting and reporting

Less visual options for Power bi reporting. Dashboard could have more options. Bit more checking after implementation is over.
