  • As a proud member of Gen X I've used all kinds of calendar "apps" in my life, starting with real calendars hanging from the kitchen door, then upgrading to pocket-sized calendars shoved into my back pocket. When my boss plopped the first 286-Intel computer on my desk back in the mid-90s and told me to 'figure it out' I played around with the first few generations of calendars that were included in the Microsoft products but always gave up in frustration since they were stuck in the computer and I still had to carry around a hard copy of my schedule when I left work. But finally, Google heard my cries in the wilderness and gave me Google calendar.
  • Recurring events can’t be easily customized for exceptions or irregular schedules, and there’s no built-in task hierarchy to help organize priorities or subtasks.
