About Infinite Campus SIS

Infinite Campus is a cloud-based school management solution that caters to districts ranging in size from 30 to 330,000 students. This solution integrates SIS features, operational management tools and learning management functionality to support communications and maintain data.

Infinite Campus tracks assessments, attendance, behavior, grades, assignments, schedules, health and more, while an online portal gives students and parents real-time access to information. Users can also access the information from iOS and Android devices. Because there is one database, duplicate data entry is eliminated.

Infinite Campus maintains industry-standards of security that maintains its own network of Tier 4 data centers, including two fully redundant centers at separate sites, so districts can operate without service interruption or data loss.

Additional premium products—such as messenger with voice, food service and finance, human resources and payroll applications—are also available.

Support is offered via phone and email.

Pros:

Infinite Campus is extremely user friendly. You can easily search for students in classes and enter grades/absences.

Cons:

Things can be categorized a little better in this software but once you learn where everything is, it still works.

Infinite Campus for a Rural District

We are able to manage students, data, parent contacts, messaging, texting, emergency notifications and many other things with Campus. We are very happy with the product.

Pros:

The tools in Campus are intuitive and easy to manage. There are many tools available and this product is quickly becoming the standard in our state and region for student management.

Cons:

I really don't have too many complaints about Campus. Our customer support has been solid and we have been happy with the product.

Great but...

We use it as our student management software--attendance, gradebook, parent contact log, etc.

Pros:

I like the ease of the gradebook, the seating charts for attendance, and the ability to tie in local needs.

Cons:

I wish we could rotate desks in the seating chart. I wish we could have an option to put in class specific nicknames for students. When only people with admin level can enter nicknames, it's frustrating if a kid prefers to be called a nickname not their first name.

So many features!

Overall, this software is a great tool for parents! It eliminates the need for so much paperwork, enables parents to have everything in one place and simplifies school enrollment. Great product!

Pros:

It is "one stop shopping" for parents! It allows a parent to pay school fees, get messages, view report cards and retrieve grades. It's a great way to simply their child's school situation.

Cons:

I haven't really found anything I don't like. Sometimes it takes a little digging to find information, but I wouldn't consider this a negative.

Such an easy software to upload grades & take attendance. Easy to manipulate once you understand how. Very convenient that everything is in one place!

Cons:

Nothing. It was super easy to learn how to use & a great tool for the classroom. Easy for parents to utilize also in the parent portal

This is an awesome tool to have for keeping track of my kids grades, all their assignments are handed in and also being able to add money to their accounts for lunches. Highly recommend.

Has a lot of features that you can use for management of your classroom. I am definitely still learning as this is new to me this year.

Cons:

Some of the interfaces are very confusing and not user friendly. I am going to have to get a colleague to give me a crash course on entering grades because it makes no sense to me so far.

Good tool for schools to communicate with parents

As a building or district, this is a good tool to be able to communicate with parents. It's different than a tool teachers would want for their classroom.

This almost eliminates the (costly) need to physically mail a lot of forms to all parents at the start of the year.

Cons:

It's not very visually appealing, and it can be overwhelming with the amount of things you can do or view on the site.

An easy to use learning management system. Able to see and operate all necessary functions of the online classroom experience.

Cons:

At first, I had some difficulty using this to communicate with support but this was corrected later on.
