Strong on dispatch, room to grow on reporting and integrations.

Started rough, smoothed out, then have had issues again within the last few months, particularly after they rolled out their updated user interface. We are assured we are the only clients experiencing these issues, but I hate to say that's not super reassuring as it is affecting our daily operations. Still better than our old provider on the dispatch side, but a bit frustrating on the accounting/reporting side.

Pros:

The driver interface is streamlined and has a clear and simple user interface. The ability for drivers to immediately upload paperwork directly to their load is also super helpful from a billing standpoint. Alvys has cut down on our data entry with AI and personnel who manage the rate con data uploads for us. Overall, the UI for the fleet management side of things is pretty easy to navigate as well, but I would appreciate if they could figure out a mobile-friendly version of their website so we can more easily answer driver questions after-hours or off-site.

Cons:

The reporting systems are not great. It seems like some of the data sets are pulled from different areas, causing some discrepancies between numbers, depending on which report is pulled. Some of the data are also named slightly different things between various reports, which is difficult to figure out. IFTA reporting has not been accurate for a few months running now and fixes to that have never been quick, meaning I'm scrambling for work-arounds at the last minute each quarter to avoid late fees & fines for IFTA, KYU, NM, etc. We've has issues for months with data not flowing properly either within different modules of Alvys (fuels to driver pay, for instance) or from Alvys into QuickBooks. This has caused many issues for our accounting department. Fixes for these issues are generally not quick (I reported issues with IFTA again on Jan 2nd this quarter and did not receive a fix until the 28th by which time I had already processed much of the data manually to file our return).

Reasons for choosing Alvys TMS

Cost - nearly signed contract with PCS due to wanting baked-in accounting functionality, but was assured that Alvys would be able to handle our needs on this front with the QuickBooks integration.

Reasons for switching to Alvys TMS

Needed a more modern solution - Truckwin was great on the accounting side, but heavy on physical paper trail. Communication with drivers was not available through the app. Just not an updated system.

We love working with the Alvys team and the program! The team is very response to immediate issues and to enhancements. We love the innovation and drive to constantly improve. We've worked with many other TMS companies in the past - systems were clunky and outdated. Alvys team gets it - they're friendly, helpful, and want to provide you the best user experience possible!

We LOVE Alvys! The TMS is sleek, very user friendly, and robust. They are constantly rolling out new updates and features (which can require some adaptiveness on our end), but we love the innovation and drive to improve the program.

Cons:

Search feature - this used to be the best part of the program and now it stinks!

We had worked in the other worlds before and we needed a system that met all of our needs for the brokerage and transportation subsidiaries, that would grow with us, and that was fewer clicks!

EDI capabilities non-existent

A lot of false promises from sales team , EDI team and [sensitive content hidden] all they say is there busy with new costumers they don’t focus on current clients.

Don’t have much to say here I hear a lot of false promises from people within management and even [sensitive content hidden] himself tried to get EDI done multiple times they never fallow thru.

Cons:

Tried to integrate EDI with them multiple times never happens they just feed you with excuses on what’s it’s not being done.

Overall, I would like to say the software is pretty easy to understand and use. The support is great. The reporting feature is great overall except for some of the advanced reporting analysis that I do. Overall, the software is packed with features and they have a superb support team.

User Friendly - I find it very easy to navigate across the software. Shortcuts - The shortcuts are a very nice feature and make the platform easily accessible Totals - There is something which I keenly like is the totals row at the end of each data table. This feature aids in decision making. Integrations - There are so many integrations that are available, and APIs as well Support - The support team is awesome. [sensitive content hidden] have always been very active and responsive and helpful in taking care of the issues I bring to them.

Cons:

Slow - What I've seen over the days as the business grew, the data is increasing and the software is taking more time to load the pages. Report - There are some things that are not that easy to find, like if we want to pull out a report for drivers for a month, and I need to the see the settlements that were processed & which and how many loads were processed in that time frame Ticket resolution takes time.

Pros:

Alvys TMS has proven to be a game changer for me. It has greatly simplified things by consolidating multiple activities onto a single platform. Its automation has helped me handle jobs more efficiently, minimise costs, and reduce manual workload. The Driver Mobile App is fantastic, and the third-party connectors and AI automation are really beneficial. What I especially appreciate is how simple it was to get started, with no long-term commitments required—it's quite user-friendly.

Cons:

Not getting proper settlement results, no proper dedcution reports. Not able to track drivers with their company ID.

It is very use to use and from my Billing Point of view, it is very easy to put rates and images. The document recognition with the help of AI is a very good feature. And shortcuts are also easy. Billing reports are very useful and easy to pull

Cons:

It is difficult for me to navigate through the software for example, if i created a filtered view and open a load and then if i go back, it doesn't go back to the same view

Pros:

User friendly, and robust. Can function in one environment all day without having to use multiple platforms.

Cons:

Really wish the onboarding went a little smother for us. We use QuickBooks enterprise and it was a bit of a struggle to get up and running and created a lot of issues.

My Honest Opinion

I've not used another kind of software like Alvys, so I don't have anything to compare it to. I do appreciate being able to scan in information and save those receipts on Alvys. It's moderately easy to use, though I do wish there were a few more options in layout and ability to look up certain information easily.

I like having the quick pull down list when putting in accessorials.

Cons:

When broker's we have put on the "do not use" list are then given another account without direct permission. Several oversights on linehaul amounts or order numbers being entered incorrectly causing our customers not to pay us in a timely manner.
