About PitneyShip

PitneyShip is a shipping platform that helps small businesses streamline shipment and delivery tracking operations. It enables employees to access discounted shipping rates from multiple shipping and courier services including USPS and UPS.

PitneyShip allows professionals to compare shipping and postage prices, schedule pick-ups as well as send packages, letters and large envelopes. Additionally, it provides a variety of features such as status tracking, SMS messaging, shipping labels, role-based permissions, package tracking, label printing, an activity dashboard, shipment price calculation and more.

PitneyShip lets administrators print first-class postage for letters, generate custom reports and send sensitive documents with same-day delivery options. Pricing is available on request and support is extended via phone, email and other online measures.

Pros:

Very Affordable. We do not use a lot of postage or ship often. This is why we use SendPro. The monthly fee is, and the cost of supplies is low. SendPro saves us time and money.

Cons:

There is a limit on the cost of postage you can print.

Reliable and affordable solution for mailing and shipping for a small business

Overall, it was nice when it used to be an actual Windows Desktop application. Then they did away with that and made it all web-based. That introduced all sorts of problems and complications. However, since then, they seem to have worked out the bugs in the web interface and the "Device Hub" printer application.

Pros:

I like that it works reliably now. It stores addresses of my customers and vendors so it is easy to pull up someone's address without having to re-enter everything every time. I like that it is reasonably affordable for a small business like mine.

Cons:

The interface is confusing and takes a long time to get accustomed to how it works and how to accomplish anything.

It was less expensive than the other options.

Reasons for switching to PitneyShip

Stamps.com was too expensive. I don't do a lot of mailing these days, so it's hard to justify paying way more for shipping software than what it would cost to just buy stamps.

The product used to work; Now is failing my company

I have been using the software for 2-3 years. It worked great until the most recent upgrade. Tech Support has been largely useless concerning the most recent issues.

Pros:

The product used to be a useful way to have a postage meter in my business. You can send First Class packages, Priority mail, express mail, parcel post and first class letters with the tool. With the latest upgrade I am able to do everything but send first class letters. It is cost effective compared to other online postage tools.

Cons:

With the introduction of DeviceHub to the tool, a software necessary to print envelopes and stamp sheets, the software no longer works for Address and Postage directly printed on envelopes, and likely stamp sheets. DeviceHub is a local software that acts as a gateway to your printer. I am actively looking for an alternative.

Shipping with Pitney Ship!

Love the ease of getting our packages out, and the paperwork that accompanies it. But if you ever have an issue, your in trouble because it will take many, many phone calls and lots of frustration to get someone to answer let alone get it resolved!

It was easy and convenient to use. I love that it stores addresses for future use and I also loved the way it printed the labels and receipt. For my purposes in accounting it was great!

Cons:

The changes that they made to how we provide funds for postage. Pitney Bowes loves to nickel and dime you! Pitney Bowes customer service. They go out of their way to make sure you cannot contact a real person! Worse customer service I have had to deal with!

PitneyShip Rocks!

PitneyShip has had a positive impact on my home based business. I'm more efficient, fill orders more promptly, my customers are pleased with the quick delivery. The time I save I can now spend on my other priorities.

Pros:

PitneyShip is my secret to efficiency! Shipping prices are less expensive than going to the Post Office. While working from home, having their app at my fingertips allows me to mail my products quickly to my customers. The app is easy to use, saves time, shipping is fast, you can't beat the price, I can track my packages and I can keep track of all my expenses.

Cons:

I've been asked what do I like least about Pitney Ship? Honestly, I can't think of any "cons" with Pitney Ship!

The perfect office co-worker

It has been wonderful and a huge relief of burden. Super appreciate the free trial though I knew I was gonna keep it about 2 days into the free trial.

It is easy to use and is a great value for the money. It reduces the amount of time that I need to go to the post office and allows me to do everything that I need from my home office. I'm no longer frustrated when I run out of stamps! The user interface is easy to get used to and is easy to learn.

Cons:

The only thing I don't like is the massive stamps that come on the stamp sheet. Wish those were a little bit less chunky and about half the height like the blank labels for the Pitney Bowes machine.

I had used Pitney in my corporate office and didn't like the Stamps interface.

I would recommend PitneyShip for the ease of use, convenience, and quality. It makes sense if you ship enough packages.

PitneyShip is convenient and easy to use. It allows me to: (1) avoid the line at the Post Office for package processing; (2) weigh, print postage, and prepare my own packages; (3) verify addresses for customers; and (4) track all packages.

Cons:

I don't get a reimbursement guarantee if my customer claims they didn't receive the package which is available from a major online business.

Reasons for choosing PitneyShip

I prefer to keep shipping separate and didn't want to use Amazon at this time. (I may not have chosen the correct Amazon service above.

Awesome shipping solution!

Pretty good. Only issues were really the initial set up for account to be configured correctly and linking to the cube.

Pros:

It integrates with McKesson! No more having to hand-type every address or updating manually. I really like the ability to email notifications to ourselves and the patient.

Cons:

Can be hard to order supplies for it directly on Pitney website. Although I managed to order from Amazon using subscribe & save, so that works out.

Mostly Great, easy to maneuver easy to add funds also easy to retrieve past shipment info. Need more ability to save and store international frequently used info

PitneyShip is Worth a Little Effort

We like using PitneyShip. It is convienient and the cost is OK. Sometimes remembering how to use is difficult if there is significant time between uses.

Convience of getting postage when needed without having to plan for a trip to the post office. Stamp and label supplies are great and easy to order.

Cons:

If not used super frequently it become difficult to remember how to accomplish tasks. Use of the online software and printer setup is not very intuitive.

Stamps.com became way too expensive and their printer selection/setup was difficult.
