Easy-to-Use, Configure & Integrate

With MiniOrange I was able to quickly and easily resolve the challenge of a MFA server. I end up saving money by using a service I trust over spinning up my own instance and having to manage it. MiniOrange does the "heavy lifting" and I appreciate it.

Pros:

I love the ease of use and intuitive nature of the product I use. I can easily take users in and out of the configuration without complicated steps. Once setup, this has been a huge help to the company for years, with literally no downtime and a response back from support every time I write.

Cons:

I do not like the fact I cannot control the branding name. I would love to be able to configure the name the Google Authenticator uses and make that a brand for the company. I would love to see that functionality in future builds.

Awful Customer Support

Possibly the world's worst support. Expect long delays and hidden payments and charges. Could not recommend under any circumstances.

The software itself is fine, though expensive in the market compared to competitors

Cons:

The customer support is absolutely atrocious, definitely the worst experience I've had as a customer with any tech company in my life. The poor support alone is enough to turn you off the company.

NFT Token Gating

It was hard to find a solution that Mini-Orange provide. The team have been excellent at answering questions, understanding my needs and then delivering.When there has been an issue, they have always been on hand and fast to resolve in a very professional manner

I was looking for a Token Gating Solutions for Web3/NFT's that would work with my current Web2 structure. I was delighted to find Mini-Orange who were able to deliver what I was looking for at a reasonable cost.

Cons:

As Web3 and NFT's is new, I had to give a lot of feedback on what needs to change for the functionality to work as I need it. I was happy that the team delivered on their promise to get to a working solution.The onboarding / setup was longer than expected, but the team figured out the issues and responded fast.

Reasons for choosing miniOrange

There was the option of building from scratch, this was both very expensive and time consuming. There was also free options on the market, but the user experience was limiting and poor overall.When I discovered Mini-Orange, I chose to move forward with them as they understood my problem and had a working solution.The team were friendly and always available when I had questions.

Reasons for switching to miniOrange

I was using Tell.ie as a very short term solution. Though it was free, It was very limiting in what could be done and was totally separate from my current eco-system which led to a poor customer experience

Quality product with great support

This product was easy to setup and functions well. The customer support was impeccable. At one point, we asked them to add event hooks to support extension and they did with little turn-around time. We also had some custom requirements around attribute mapping which they worked through with us. They were willing to get on the phone with us at inconvenient times (for them), due to the timezone difference. Currently, we need both the free and premium versions installed to support production and non-production environments. This makes upgrades more challenging than we'd like, because we were not willing to purchase an additional license.

This product has a thorough feature set which met and exceeded our requirements.

Cons:

A few minor bugs and unintuitive design related to attribute mapping. The code is not as clean as I'd expect with a professional product. The license only covers one environment, where as I wish the license covered one production and one development environment.

This product offered a more robust feature-set than we could develop internally, given time and budget constraints.

A SAML Service Provider with cool features

There are a lot of steps and redirects happening until you finally are authenticated the first time. But then it's just like SSO should be.

It integrates smooth with TYPO3 v 10. Syncing of user data can be configured by mapping data from authentication service into TYPO3 is nice.

Cons:

I'm missing the possibility to use the same extension for login in backend. And there is no possibility to set default values during mapping.

Reasons for switching to miniOrange

The switch was necessary because there was no connection to a LDAP server available.

We were able to fulfill a client's request within a few weeks and the implementation was straightforward and easy. miniOrange has great documentation to support the installation and implementation.

The only challenge was the different timezones; so meeting scheduling was difficult. Everything else was stellar!

With mini orange we were able to efficiently fulfill our company wide requirement for 2 factor authentication for VPN access.

Pros:

miniOrange provides a stable, reliable platform we use for Radius authentication . The implementation is straightforward with plenty of documented examples to help in the rollout.

Cons:

We have had minor interruptions with SMS code two factor authentication. MiniOrange does allow for both SMS and Email codes so we have not had any significant downtime .
