About Vultr

Vultr offers enterprise-grade cloud compute and bare metal servers, cloud storage, cloud GPUs, managed databases, and managed Kubernetes to help users develop, deploy, and manage applications, games, software, AI and machine learning models, operating systems, and more. It supports numerous operating systems, including FreeBSD, Alma Linux, Ubuntu, Windows, Fedora CoreOS, VzLinux, and more, via a simple, intuitive control panel.

The Vultr platform includes one-click apps, which allow users to launch development environments, game servers, WordPress blogs, and more with one click. It offers multi-location deployment worldwide in 32 data center regions, private networking, reserved IP addresses, and secure connections. Additionally, administrators can handle role-based permissions, single sign-on (SSO) authentication, and API access via the centralized control panel.

Pricing is transparent and predictable, with standardized, utility-based rates.

Vultr review

Vultr is a great option for hosting small apps and great websites. It's 99% uptime with great speed performance. It supports many of my favorite Cpanels.

Pros:

Vultr provides one of the most affordable and top-notch website hosting services with high-performant infrastructures, ease of use, ease of setup, and customer support experience.It provides fantastic virtual private server instances at meager rates that support most of my favorite operating systems. Most often, we run Cyberpanel on Linux OS for the best convenience.With its high-frequency infrastructure, a 1core/1Gb server performs much better than other hosting providers with 2core/2Gb servers.Additionally, I like the fact that there are several server locations and many scripts to choose. Security is the grid is strong, backups can easily be managed and controlled, and resources are scalable.

Cons:

The support services are good however, they delay in responding to open tickets.

Good but not great

Overall vultr have a great product range and the pricing is very good! The biggest issue is their support, it's pretty average. Ther was a pretty big outage with a product which led to me needing to move one of my resources to another provider but all vultr would do is offer a credit in my account. I really think a refund would have been the right thing to do here

SHUT DOWN MY WEBSITE AND WILL NOT RESTART

So bad. I'm not kidding. They have shut down my website now on multiple occasions. They are telling me they will destroy my website in 48 hours. I have done absolutely nothing wrong. They are threating all this because hackers are tying to get access. If you own a WordPress site you know that hackers are constantly trying to break into your site, its completely un unavoidable.

It's nice that they respond quickly when needed and have low latency for accessing the cloud.

Cons:

There may be some serverless services missing and there could be an MSP console to manage different customers in the same tenant.

Pros:

Vultr is an extremely simple service to use. I have used it multiple times for both high-intensity and low-intensity applications, and it has always done the job well. The pricing plans and scalability of the platform are amazing, and the easy configuration of your server simplifies the entire process. I will continue to use Vultr whenever I have any hosting needs.

Cons:

Honestly, I do not have any complaints about Vultr or its services. I have been using its services for years and have yet to encounter any issues that weren't user-error.

Reasons for switching to Vultr

Overall, I did not have a good experience with Heroku; it was not user friendly, the documentation was limited, and the service was okay at best.

AWS seemed complicated to setup, Vultr was very quick and easy, I didn’t want to go and get a certification just to deploy a few VMs in the cloud.

Best UI, Fastest and Cost effective Cloud Platform

The experience with Vultr is amazing especially when it come to support, uptime and reliabilly. Funny that there uptime is rated at 99.99%, should be 100%.

Cons:

Lack of enough data centers across the globe is such a drawback. This issue brings high latency especially is you deploy to regions not close to you.

Pros:

You can create any server of your choice at any moment quickly for your customers or just to test and destroy. It is also cheaper than any other platform - Before knowing vultr, I would purchase a shared server and today I just create a server for my customers and the price and the performance are way better than a shared. It is also super easy to manage.

Cons:

I haven’t had any issues yet to give cons.
