Pros:

We’ve been using SustainIQ across our Irish and UK business for several years now, and the level of support we’ve received from the team has been second to none. The team behind SustainIQ consistently go above and beyond to ensure the system works for our needs – whether that’s adapting modules, providing hands-on training, or supporting us with data inputs and interpretation. SustainIQ has been invaluable in producing our annual ESG report, but it’s also become a key tool in our monthly board-level reporting. We’re able to clearly track and report on our carbon emissions, waste, water, and fuel usage across multiple projects, giving us the insights we need to drive sustainability performance and resource efficiency. It’s intuitive, reliable, but the support from the team makes a real difference. Highly recommend it to any construction company looking to improve ESG performance and streamline sustainability reporting.

Cons:

If we had to list something, it would only be that there's so much functionality that it can take a little time to fully explore everything it can do – but the team are always on hand to guide us through it.

Key to Strengthening Our ESG Performance

SustainIQ have a very responsive support team. Their customer service is proactive, knowledgeable, and always keen to support further innovation. The platform is a user-friendly and intuitive interface for both site and office teams to adopt with minimal training.

We have been using SustainIQ for many years and have found it to be an invaluable tool in strengthening our ESG performance and reporting. SustainIQ enables us to track our ESG data in real-time, provides clear presentation of data across all ESG pillars and allows us to easily showcase what we do and how we add value to our clients and stakeholders with transparency. This has been made even better with the recent updates to the main dashboard. Overall, SustainIQ has become a key part of how we monitor, manage, and improve our sustainability performance. We would recommend them to any business serious about embedding ESG in their business.

Cons:

Not a con for SustainIQ, more one for the platform user in that as you grow your business managing the increasing volume of data takes time particularly when multiple streams of data are in play. The data needs to be reviewed to understand what should look good and to ensure the input is as accurate as possible.

Excellent Carbon Reporting Tool

SustainIQ is constantly developing to suit market needs. As an environmental manager in construction it has been particularly useful to help develop an accurate carbon footprint that can be used for SECR reports. The customer support team are also excellent at responding to queries.

Cons:

N/A- any flaws in the system that have been raised as issues, have been addressed, allowing the system to constantly improve and suit customer needs.

Pros:

Sustain IQ is our one stop sustainability platform used across the Asgard Group of companies. We have found it to b a great fit for capturing our emissions, biodiversity gains, Health and well being initiatives and community engagements across all jurisdictions. The support team are always on hand to help and listen to new integration possibilities. Sustain IQ usage assisted us greatly in achieving our ISO14001 at a much quicker pace.

Cons:

Very little to add here. We are looking at new integrations with our other software providers and hope to see these come to fruition soon.

Pros:

The system is very easily used with excellent support from the team. This support has been significant from McCue introducing SustainIQ right through to this present day. Any concern or technical issue is sorted out in a timely manner. The function to take photos or upload documents if used can help with human errors if data is inputted incorrectly. This allows the user to look back to correct any mistakes.

Cons:

Certain element do not allow you to delete information off the system such as user details. I think this should be looked at, as an administrator I can add a user however I cannot delete.

ESG made Easy!

Overall the experience has been an enlightening education with SustainIQ. We had so many queries and areas which we did not understand. They looked at our business and demonstrated how we could achieve the best outcomes using the software. We had a very collaborative onboarding and overall the software has enabled us to win and deliver contracts which we previously could not have done.

Pros:

This software records, analyses and reports all our data in one system. It's very easy to use and calculates all the data for us. With all the various areas of data, we need to record this software makes the daunting world of ESG reporting easy.

Cons:

With our business, some of the aspects of getting the data we require have been hard and sometimes not suitable. However, SustainIQ has been brilliant in understanding our needs and developing the software to suit. They have taken a proactive approach to help to deliver for their clients.

The roll out of SustainIQ across our construction sites has been relatively easy and the Team at SustainIQ have been extremely helpful with helping us simplify and make the process of roll out/data processing even easier. The platform is easy to use and the reporting section makes it easy to view data.

Cons:

In the beginning we did have some issues with the Business Transportation section, with our personnel finding the process of signing into site quite time consuming. However, this has since been rectified. I think its important for us to know that the data that is being generated on SustainIQ is 100% accurate, particularly with regards to the associated carbon emissions, as we'd like to be able to pull this information directly from the platform. However, some discrepancies in CO2 conversion factors has made this a little challenging.

Great for emission measuring and monitoring

SustainIQ enables us to measure and monitor our Scope 1 and 2 emissions across all our sites. We can see easily what business activities are contributing most to our overall emissions and set clear reduction targets based on accurate, real-time data. The software has a great user interface, enabling all members of our team to get involved in our emission tracking no matter where in the country they are working.

Cons:

The Scope 3 emission reporting needs to be included. There should be a system for Environmental Product Declaration upload for compliance with BREEAM and LEED schemes.

We're happy to see that the system is providing great visualisation of your scope 1 and scope 2 emissions, allowing you to identify opportunities in real-time across all company sites. It's also great to see SustainIQ has improved staff engagement with your sustainability initiatives! We currently also provide Scope 3 reporting for Business & Delivery transport emissions, allowing you to measure emissions from your fleet both upstream and downstream in your supply chain. Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) will be built in to the system later this year as part of our upcoming Embodied Carbon Calculator (ECC). Moreover, our Supply Chain Engagement Portal which is also in development will hopefully help you with Scope 3 reporting in new areas!
