Pros:

Installing from the package manager is a breeze, a cut and paste of the API key as part of the process and you're logging. No extra coding required.

Cons:

The ASP.NET MVC integration can be a bit fiddly, but there are guides to help you.

Why I like Elmah.io

Excellent support and easy to use. I had problem that I thought might be due to Elmah and got a quick response from their support. It wasn't an Elmah problem.

Pros:

Easy to setup. Feature complete like JavaScript notifications and logging.

Cons:

I went over 1000 emails the first month of use because I was getting 404's for things like wp-admin and other files that my app does not have. I solved my problem by filtering for the 404's that had nothing to do with my app.

The email notifications and dashboard makes it easy to monitor bugs.

Critical App for Development Team

While the application has met all our needs, I wanted to comment on the customer support offered by Elmah.io. It has been outstanding and [SENSITIVE CONTENT] has been really great to work with. It feels like we had many hoops to jump through on our side and [SENSITIVE CONTENT] was there ready to answer any questions our teams had to ensure we could approve the implementation of the software.

Pros:

The ability to see our bugs before users report them has been extremely useful to our development team. Instead of waiting on users to report issues, Elmah.io has helped us detect these beforehand and deploy fixes. Additionally, it was extremely easy to setup and integrate into our custom built applications.

Cons:

None at this time, it meets all of our business needs.

Its a good product, but if any setup help is needed, the customer support is A++++

Cons:

Can't keep selected errors for more than a month, email information could be improved, but this is nitpicking. What it does do is very good and it does it very well.

SaaS product that serves it's purpose and does it very well. Easy to setup, easy to use, cost effective and the support is absolutely AMAZING. I would never setup another production system without tying it to Elmah.io!!!

Cons:

More uptime monitoring capabilities would be nice to have.

overall excellent service

It's helping me troubleshoot issues with my application without my having to implement my own log view experience.

Pros:

It targets .NET, and it has a great online portal for examining logs. There's also very good personal-level service.

Cons:

Due to a plethora of configuration options and specific use cases, it's a bit hard to nail down the ideal configuration for my exact situation. So for example, I'm currently not able to capture the http context user name in my Blazor app, and I would like that.

Reasons for choosing elmah.io

Other cloud logging services target too many different frameworks and environments. I wanted something very .NET focused so I wasn't paying for the overhead of all the different framework support.

Simply the best dashboard and framework for managing production errors with .net applications

When there is a complaint, it is the first place I go to figure out what went wrong.

Pros:

It is amazingly simple to setup. It captures data immediately without delay. It provides stack trace data as well as context data (with little work). It allows you to slice thru data from any perspective very easily.

Cons:

Organization of overall dashboard and left menu could be a little cleaner.
