About Modshield SB

Modshield SB is a web application firewall (WAF), which helps small to large businesses filter and monitor traffic and protect data from malicious attacks. Features bot/crawler protection, compliance metrics, custom rules, log forwarding, health checks and DoS protection.

Based on OWASP core ruleset, Modshield SB enables IT administrators to protect applications from various types of threats such as injection, broken access control, security misconfiguration and more. Network engineers can prepare country-specific IP whitelist/blacklist and filter web traffic according to configured reputation levels and firewall policies. IT professionals can use the log display to analyze events and archive logs to external storage. The solution also allows teams to use load balancer across multiple domains and export/import backup configuration.

Right from the word Go, I see excellent commitment from the team to help us to configure and also understand our model and help us derive maximum benefits using the WAF.

Pros:

The WAF is very easy to configure and when you need any support the team is fully geared to educate you on how to configure the firewall from scratch.

Cons:

We have not seen any cons after we implemented the WAF.
