After we reviewed a number of AP apps, Lightyear was by far easier to use and can cater to all your invoicing needs. Once mapped correctly you can fly through your invoices with 100% accuracy. Matching invoices to statement function is also terrific. [sensitive content hidden] was amazing her training, patience and knowledge of Lightyear was fantastic, it was fun learning what lightyear was capable of. [sensitive content hidden] explained everything as our first point of contact with Lightyear and he too was very helpful and knowledgeable.
Cons:
Nothing didn't like really, once you know what to do and mapping is sorted it is easier at first you think there is a bit to work through, but Lightyear assist with the set up.

I have worked around Accounts Payable for more than 30 years and have never worked on a system that is so comprehensively detailed and easy to use - I can't ask for more. Everything at my fingertips. Nice to remove the paper/postage/scanning element. Support for bugs and development at the other end of Phone and resolutions are immediate or put forward for future development. Lightyear would save money re: employment, as saves valuable time and requires less staff. Great tool to educate new staff. Haven't included Procurement package but I guess would integrate with PL. No security issues within the start of 2024 to now. Honest I would recommend. Even a Trial would open your eyes.
Cons:
Obviously the integration of any system can be daunting. But the end result is well worth the Pain..

A fabulous system for seamless invoice processing, loved by all that use it.

It's an amazing system that works incredibly well for us. It speeds things up, eliminates keying in errors and is very popular by all users here. On the odd occasion that something doesn't run smoothly for any reason, the help/chat team are quick, efficient and above all very friendly and patient.

A seamless system, easy to navigate for accounting minded staff and others that are not so financial minded that are required to approve/sign off invoices. Its visual, easy to find archived invoices, can download, print etc all at the click of a button.
Cons:
No option to alter the vat - rounding by LY is often different to supplier invoices - being able to alter the given vat figure by a small amount would be great. Being able to filter by "task approver" on the approvals and review tabs would also be helpful. If an Approver calls about an invoice, and there's pages and pages, being able to filter by invoices assigned to a specific user would be awesome.

I think l its a fantastic system and well maintained with the Lightyear Team. I feel is user friendly and easy to work through all the processes. The managers love that they can check back on invoices and see what has been processed and approved. It's great when it come to the end of year audits as we can access the invoice quickly and efficiently.

Its is very easy to use. You have all you invoices on one system and able to search back to archive invoices. You can run reports for different departments to check if there on budget. It good for audit purpose easy to access. You have less manually input as it matches invoices against PO's and statements. The support of the Lightyear Team is instant efficient and very friendly always happy to help you and resolve it quickly.
Cons:
When Lightyear do an update it seems to effects my system and i have to refresh or have to completely come out of the system or it takes me out of the menu i'm on. Some of the PO's don't close automatically and i have to match these off manually each month - as the PO's would be used for our end of month balancing figures.

Lightyear - both time and error saving

As a client, I’d say Lightyear’s purchase order system is a huge time-saver and incredibly easy to use. The automated approvals and two-way matching has cut down errors and streamlined our workflow, while the support team has been responsive and helpful. The only challenge was the initial setup and learning curve, but once we got past that, the efficiency gains and cost savings have been great.

I like that the purchase order system is intuitive and new staff pick it up very quickly. The automated approvals keep everything moving without delays and the two-way matching between POs and invoices has drastically cut down on errors and we’ve saved countless hours every month.
Cons:
The initial learning about the various tabs/workflows and finding a way to make it work best for us. Also, not being able to have a free in person session about 6 months in to work through small queries.

Lightyear is easy to use as an accounts payable program saving a huge amount of time verses manually entering invoices and helping to minimize human error. It has purchase order and statement modules and is constantly evolving and improving to allow customers to map invoices to meet their own company needs.
Cons:
No cons. Like any program you use, you still need to check and make required changes as needed for your own business process.

Cons:
I can’t sync other details of the supplier that I have created in Lightyear to Xero, such as bank details or contact information. It only syncs the necessary information, like the supplier’s name and invoice details.

I enjoy it's ease of use, quick to raise a PO and the automated email going to the supplier once approved
Cons:
Sometimes when raising a PO and I enter all the details, I attach the quote and the form resets so I have to go all through the process again. Also there is the "Approved" tab which is misleading as nothing in there is actually approved.....should be called "Pre-Approval" or "Submitted" then the "Ordered" tab should be called "Approved" not sure you really need the "Draft" or "Approval Tab"
