Patriot Accounting vs QuickBooks Desktop: Which is best for you?

It is simple enough with a little help from tech support I am able to keep track of my accounting and hand it over to my accountant at years end to close out my books.

First, it cannot accept deposits or progress payments for a job; payments can only be made against an existing invoice. While this might not be a problem for some, it created significant issues for me.

I was able to input all the pertinent information whenever a transaction was done, and the software processed the information for each client and transaction seamlessly.

It does not have the ability to automatically add a credit card convenience fee to an invoice when you send the invoice out with the Intuit payment link.
