Pros:

The simplicity of the experience is incredible. Toucan is perfectly positionned for the non-analysts, and those who only have a few minutes to access and understand what's going on in their business.

Cons:

I would rather have a more visual data transformation piple line but the Python integration is really apreciated for the big data analytics.

A great no-code solution to rapidly create dashboard for our clients

Toucan has helped us to address several issues at once. First we provide a better experience to our clients where they can access their data through a modern looking and easy-to-use dashboard. On top of that, the transparency helped strengthen the trust and limited the frustration one could have whenever they were back and forth with the Customer Success Manager who edited the report to understand the way it was computed, the meaning behind a definition, or simply because they were manual errors. Secondly, creating a report manually was a boring and time-consuming task that Customer Success Managers dreaded, and having set-up a Toucan dashboard has freed a lot of time for CSM to focus on what matters.

Pros:

Toucan provides a complete and easy-to-use solution for non-developer profiles like mine. The ease of set-up allowed us to set-up and deploy a dashboard in record time, that our customers love. While they were the one pushing us to give them access to a dashboard, they were actually surprised by how fast we deployed the solution. On top of that, Toucan's team has been really helpful to help us during the onboarding process.

Cons:

While there is a no-code interface to prepare data, there was still a learning curve to be at ease with data models to get the right datasets to feed the dashboards. It took me a few days to be really at ease with Toucan's capabilities.

The Toucan Toco experience

My overall experience with Toucan Toco is very positive! They are always there for us and helping us improve our reports all the time! We would be way behind on our product if we didn't have Toucan on our side!

The software had live data reporting, which was something critical to our project. The software wasn't too difficult to user, and it did integrate quite well with our website.

Cons:

There were a few times we had to get in and do out own coding for the reports we needed to generate, but it wasn't too difficult to get it working or anything like that, it was just a bit of a learning curve.

Don't worry...choose an effective product

Finally, and this is not something to be overlooked: the product evolves frequently while remaining stable. The customer support model during the deployment of the solution is a strength in which the Toucan teams are investing in order for the project to be a success. It's not that common to be noticed. Except of course when you are ready to spend a fortune on the services of an integrator with no guarantee of obtaining similar quality.

Ease of integrating data from Oracle or SQL Server databases, simplicity of building stories to deliver KPIs, dashboards or any other support suitable for developing reflections, Toucan is the tool that saves us precious time!

Cons:

Customer support is excellent in terms of responsiveness and quality. The technical teams are also very efficient and available. On the customer support side: they are always ready to help you put your ideas into action.On the development side: they are at your disposal and do not hesitate to ask you to put interesting ideas into their product plan!Sorry but I have a hard time finding anything negative after two years

Awesome application with which we can bring insights to users on many different places.

It took some time to implement our very specific usecase: to send users from our community portal to toucan to view their benchmark results. But it worked out nicely and there were almost no obstacles we could not take with the help of the support

Pros:

Toucan Toco is quicker to master if you want to roll out something right away. Visualizations and Stories are clear and clean but carry a surprising amount of information. We needed a solution we could host on our own site, and this was by far the most cost-effective choice.

Cons:

Terminology can be confusing at times, and we occasionally got stuck, but there's a huge amount of information in the support section of their site and the human support was STELLAR: quick and effective.

Cost and learning curve--the other product was more suited to large organizations with large dedicated IT staffs
