The Potential Is There!

I was looking for a platform that could serve several functions at a reasonable price point. I found it in 17 Hats, and I’m always learning something new.

Pros:
It’s comprehensive. I was looking for an all-in-one solution for booking, invoicing, and workflow management.
Cons:
The Booking function doesn’t have all the features you see in other booking platforms such as manual scheduling and schedule blocking. It’s a little clunky but I believe it’s still being developed.

Price point and I was already familiar with it.

Reasons for switching to 17hats

I didn’t like that WaveApps is now owned by H&R Block. I needed a CRM anyway, so it would’ve been redundant to stay with WaveApps.

A must-have tool for every small business.

I've been using 17hats since 2018! Couldn't do without it, honestly. All the clients are in one place, with invoices and automatic reminders so I don't have to chase payments. Questionnaires, quotes and contracts are a daily process. Workflows make my life easier in so many ways and online scheduling is so convenient. It's a must-have tool for every small business!

I like the automation and how easy it is to get work done without actually being there to do everything.
Cons:
Honestly, I'm happy with it, can't find any cons. Maybe the amount of time you have to put in at the beginning to learn the platform and to set up everything. But once that's done, it's done.

SCAM! Do not use them!

It was really hard to set up and took me days to figure it out (Im very tech savvy so this was frustrating and no user friendly) Once everything was set up it was good and ran pretty well. Then the next year my membership went up to $300 which was expected because i got a discount to sign up initially so that was fine. Then they tried to charge my credit card $600 for the next year. Literally out of no where with no upgrades. I emailed them about this since there was no customer service number and the guy i spoke with was rude and did not offer any solutions besides a black friday deal theyll have months away. So now i need to redo my whole platform. This company is a scam, stay away!!!

They Scammed me. They initially said it was $150 to sign up for the year. Then they raised it to $300 the next year. Then SIX HUNDRED the next year. They didnt improve anything for this insane raise.

I love it! It saves my sainity!

I bought them over 10 years ago on the basic plan to just get myself going. And then i had a corporate job and negelected them for 5 years. Finally i went back to my business and had to do a massive cleanup due to me not organizing 17hats correctly to begin with.

It can be as simple or as complex as your business needs it to be! No flat one price fits all.
Cons:
For the longest time they didnt have an app but now they do... they dodnt have online booking but now they do... honeslty i cant think of anything..

In short, was drawn into the service to help cut down the number of software services and just use one service, but the cost was too high for the product I got. I also heavily rely on being able to be mobile AND use my desktop on or offline -- which was not available and the mobile app is not that great. Overall, left feeling like I invested in a waste of money with a frustrating experience... this was my first experience using something robust and I then moved on to find other solutions.

I love an all-in-one service that can combine these features: - Invoice / expense management - scheduling online for clients - CRM style contact management - workflows and templates to make my life easier - nice to look at and easy ux The idea was there but some work needed to go into the original feature development. A lot of the helpful features felt confusing and a pain to set up. Might be better now but when I used it it was such a headache I did not use a lot of the features that drew me in.
Cons:
The software is bundled up to draw you in for your one-stop shop for the list of things I stated. However, one of my biggest pet peeves with up-and-coming companies is their lack of focus to improve the functions of their initial systems in play. After their successful launch and drawing me into their somewhat expensive annual fee, I felt they kept working on new features instead of improving current features that could have used some attention for better UX. I got so frustrated with this that I left. Feeling that I was constantly being asked to spend more money on new features that I did not want.

17hats did a great job advertising its features. It was the do-it-all software.... it just didn't pan out to be a good fit at the time. I slimmed down and used MoonInvoice which was a lot more affordable at the time, and now I'm back to needing something more robust. I'm currently using FreshBooks & DayLite CRM.

I have MORE THAN 17 reason I love 17 hats!

I've been using 17hats for more than 5 years. It has keep my business looking professional and has kept me organized and on track. I don't miss a thing thanks to the reminders, the calendar and dashboard. I love the easy of templates and how simply I can set up a scheduling option for my clients.

I love that this CRM literally has everything you would need to run a small business. The client database, bookkeeping, scheduler, invoicing, and calendar are the features I use the most. I love how organized I am thanks to 17 hats.
Cons:
I am not missing anything, it's my favorite software and I use it multiple times a day.

Great CRM but not my favourite

I was with them for years and it was good! Loved their invoicing, loved the price, loved how easy it was to set up and change things but I wished that it had a bit more personal flair that you could add. Being a creative it's so nice to be able to customize price lists and portals a bit more.

being from Canada I loved that the invoices could be split up to have some items charging GST and some items charging both pst and gst within an invoice. Was my absolute favourite part of the CRM! I also liked how easy it was to set up
Cons:
It was a little clunky looking to clients and the client portal wasn't as beautiful as others I've tried.

Overall, I love that I can organize my projects, send quotes, contracts and invoices all from the same place. I also love that I have streamlined workflows for each different type of project all saved in 17Hats.

I love 17Hats. I use it for every single one of my projects and I love the organization it provides me within my business. My workflow is so streamlined thanks to 17Hats!
Cons:
The only downside that I can see about 17Hats is that the quality of their bookkeeping is not as thorough or beneficial as other accounting software. I have to manually enter all of my expenses and I wish there was an option for me to take pictures of my receipts. I also wish I had the ability to automate some of my monthly/annual expenses so that I didn't have to enter them every time.

It was the easiest to understand and set up. It's very user friendly. I liked the style of it best as well. Overall it seemed like it was going to suit my needs best and it has!
