About TallyPrime

TallyPrime provides business management functionalities including accounting, finance, compliance, inventory, sales, purchase, point-of-sales, manufacturing, job costing, payroll, and branch management. The accounting module enables support tasks such as entry management, reminder letters and bank reconciliation and provides a dashboard to track business ratios. The sales module tracks orders, records receivables/payables and generates bills and invoices. Cash flow can be managed through the MIS reporting module to facilitate decisions regarding bank loans, credit limits and capital investments. TallyPrimes's inventory capabilities can support manufacturers, distributors and traders in stock accounting. The payroll management feature handles payslip generation, salary revision and arrears calculation.

TallyPrime is an on-premise business management system designed to manage accounting, inventory, compliance, payroll, and other business processes. Business Partner TallyPrime

The overall experience with TallyPrime was very good because the features that it provides at that cost is something that other softwares are not able to provide. While auditing, the extraction feature helped alot and saved time.

Pros:

The thing which I liked the most about Tally Prime is that you get to know about the business process from start to end. Further,it has additional feature of generating statutory reports which is an important benefit to the business as it helps in being on par with statutory compliances. The customisation feature helps lot for all type of business.

Cons:

The least favourite thing about TallyPrime is that it's user interface hasn't changed over the years, while it's features and other things have continuously been on upgrade.

A complete accounting solution for small and medium enterprise.

I find Tally Prime as user friendly including new features like preparation of GST returns and easy to use. A new commerce person can use it with ease and can also take out results(Profit/Loss) of business with in few seconds of entering the journal entry.

Pros:

It has included the features for import from excel which make the work easy and quick. Now it helps to prepare GST returns directly and comparison also available. It's cost is low as compared to other business management software's for small businesses. It is user friendly. Whenever I pass a Journal entry, I can easily see its impact on Balance sheet and Profit and Loss account. As well as I don't need to switch the screen to make changes in Journal entry, I can directly jump into the entry and make changes.

Cons:

It's slow working. If more than 2 users are there, it becomes slow.

A good ERP to start of with

Its been used for our Bed Line Manufacturing company for the last 15 years. Not as robust with features as Buisness One with live reporting but good enough and very popular and essy to use.

very bad while talking with the helpline... as they talke almost 10-15 min everyday in my case as i need to give all the details everytime i talk with them and need to explain again all the problem i face and the repeated solution they provide to my problem.

TallyPrime is my go to in Accounting.

TallyPrime is great. Although the system combines different provisions of our business, including account management and tax management, it is simple to operate and adjust in case of changes such as taxes and customer details.

Pros:

I have used different software to conduct my daily activities as an accountant. However, I like TallyPrime because it allows me to merge my accounts and keep track of suppliers simultaneously. I manage my payables and receivables while ensuring my orders are well managed to avoid delays or wastage.

Cons:

Tallyprime allows me to use the system and access the company data from anywhere and on any device. Although this may seem attractive, it is risky since unauthorized persons can access this data with the right credentials. I would prefer that individuals access my data only when connected to my office network.
