About ProPresenter

ProPresenter is a church management software, which helps churches display lyrics, chord charts and presentations in real-time. The solution enables teams to control live presentations across multiple screens during worship gatherings, trade shows and conferences from a unified dashboard.

The platform allows operators to import videos, add custom color effects, manage brightness and crop videos to change the pre-produced content. ProPresenter lets administrators blend multiple screens to create a wide image, share videos across serial digital interfaces and use customizable built-in themes to unify content. Additionally, it provides access to translations of The Bible in multiple languages and helps communicate information to people on the stage regarding announcements and slide notes.

ProPresenter lets businesses integrate the system with several third-party applications such as Planning Center, CCLI SongSelect and more. Pricing is based on annual subscriptions and perpetual licenses and support is offered via video tutorials, a knowledge base and other online measures.

Rock solid but a bit of work

Mostly positive. It's very stable and usually does a very good job. Good documentation, easy for end users. Kind of a lot of work weekly for staff to program in all the new content.

Pros:

The UI is mostly easy to understand for typical operation - you either tap space bar to proceed to the next slide or click on the slide you want to jump to.

Cons:

Occasional issues with systems that are left on for prolonged periods like the display screen doesn't want to work till you close and reopen the App or reboot the computer. Risk averse Admins will want to postpone Updates but the program will constantly ask if you want to install the updates so "helpful" operators may install them anyways, either on purpose or accident. Some of the UI isn't so simple to understand without reading the documentation (but the documentation is excellent and easy to read).

ProPresenter make Sunday Easy

ProPresenter allows us to plan and execute our church services with ease. Although setting up a service can sometimes be challenging, once it is setup, even an inexperienced operator can run the service.

Pros:

Propresenter allows us to build the service and use macros to control features like lighting and sound.

Cons:

Upgrades sometimes introduce issues that are hard to work around but new features are often worth the headaches. Just don't upgrade right before a service.

Need for additional features was the primary reason.

Simply the best for churches and small organizations.

We've been using ProPresenter since 2011 and absolutely love the ease of use and stability. It's been a great product with great support when you need it.

Pros:

We can train a volunteer to use ProPresenter in just a few minutes, but the depth of features is outstanding. We probably use less than half of the capabilities of ProPresenter, so it scales with us. It's also rock solid. Nothing induces panic like a last-minute software crash. It very rarely has any issues.

Cons:

You definitely pay for the quality and features. There are less expensive options but they can't touch the stability of ProPresenter. I feel like the subscription system they have moved to is cost prohibitive to some smaller churches and organizations.

We have had great experience with ProPresenter, and we love the feature set. The campus license option is great for us as well.

Reasons for switching to ProPresenter

ProPresenter is much easier to use than PowerPoint in a church setting. The ability to import songs from CCLI SongSelect is outstanding.

The Best is Here Right Now. None Else Can Compare

I've been using ProPresenter (in more than one job capacity) since 2012. When we switched over from our previous presentation software it was an immediate improvement in our experience (both from the congregational standpoint and that of the operators). Renewed Vision has provided plenty of help with YouTube videos when I don't quite know how to do something.

Pros:

The ease of use with presentation software is paramount. Training volunteers to operate this software in tandem a presentation is very simple.

Cons:

If I HAD to pick something here I'd say that triggering certain elements (countdowns and such) using calendar has been a bit of a task since version 7 was released. I figured out a workaround, but it's difficult to explain to someone not as experienced with the software.

We had switched to a Mac computer and found that the version of Mediashout for Mac was unreliable at best

Works well for our small church

We are a small church using volunteers to run our sound and projection stuff. I like that we can train our volunteers on the basics quickly and then help them to develop skill with the mor complex stuff as we go. We have kids helping (part of our investment in future volunteers in sound/projection) and they can advance slides and do the basic stuff well under supervision and learn more as they do.

The ease with which we can set up a set for Sunday worship. We have a set for each week of the month and can change the content quickly and easily, especially with the connection to Song Select.

Cons:

We have issues occasionally with the program changing the screen setup taking time to figure out what to do to get things back. It may be as much a Windows thing as a ProPresenter thing though.

A Great Program with little to complain about.

I'm enthusiastic and very satisfied with ProPresenter. I've recommend it to several friends managing their church's online and in-person worship.

Great product, great design

The terminology is not intuitive to me, I consider myself somewhat technologically savvy but your terminology is “Greek” to me and having to watch YouTube videos or joining Facebook user groups help, it does not always make sense to me. They use your terminology without explaining what it means.

The cost is high for smaller congregations, it would be nice to have options for getting lower pricing for just certain pieces of the product.

Pros:

I really like the new features, which allow users to share their iPhone or Mac screen and the built-in camera. So many uses for this functionality. I'm excited to use it so much more.

Cons:

I typically use ProPresenter on the back end, setting up the technical side of things. So, as far as building presentations, I know just enough to be dangerous. I sometimes struggle with the intuitive side of building a new playlist. I just need to work with it more and I'll be better at it.

Professional Product and Service

I have been very very pleased and have recommended proper to others because how simple it is to do and how you can build things very quickly. We continue to add things to our system and we look forward to adding even more with what already you have in place

I love the professional and ease to use the program

Cons:

As a rule church a lot of times we don't discover an issue until Sunday and it is my understanding that no one is available to address our issue before church service

The customer service was not great and the cost increased as well starting having issues with windows.
