Simplifying Cloud Management and Reducing Costs

Like many companies we were running services across different cloud platforms and lacked information about utilisation and did not have clarity about what we were paying for vs what we were using. The initial onboarding process was painless and we were quickly up and running. The support we received was excellent from the team and we have since been able to improve the efficiency of our deployment, rationalising some services and measurably reducing our costs as a result.

Pros:

The bottom line impact of using CloudOps Active Management Solution - CAMS - has been that we have been able to reduce our monthly spend while also having much greater granularity about how our cloud deployment is managed including detailed performance reviews of what our usage vs capacity which has helped us to make good decisions about usage.

Cons:

We had some initial challenges in incorporating the reports from CAMS into our existing BI dashboards, but these were quickly resolved and have had no issues since.

Reasons for choosing IG CloudOps

The native monitoring and measurement tools offered by Microsoft were not as comprehensive or user friendly as the CAMS alternative, and we wanted the benefit of an impartial management tool to have confidence in realising cost savings.

Friendly, Honest and Efficient Company to deal with

The whole experience has been great and we have dealt with [SENSITIVE CONTENT] from day 1, without being passed to various account managers which is also something we really value.

We went to market with the aim of finding 3 vendors to submit their pricing to us as we sought to move away from a provider that had gradully gone downhill over the previous 18 months. CAMS were obviously keen from day one but they never shased or hassled and when we explaine our time frames for a decision they were relaxed and sat back allowing us the right space to consider our next moves. When we further engaged they happily provided the details of a company that had undergone a similar process to ourselves and this proved very reassuring.. We made the decision to migrate to CAMS and 6 months done the line its looking to be the correct decision. We are very happy with the service and support (although we rarely need it) is excellent when we have had to use it. They undertook a thorough review of our structural set up and identified over £300 of savings on our monthly bill which has been good as well.

Cons:

I dont have anything negative to add, they tick all our boxes

Rackspace have undergone a structural change and sadly the service is pathetic for the high service charges they apply to their accounts. We instantly went from paying over £2.2k for a manager and operate solution down to under £1k a month

The process to deploy was really easy as it just bolted on to our existing infrastructure and meant that we didn't have to port all our websites across.

Cons:

Nothing really missing or bad about CAMS - so many features mean that we are still learning what it can do for us and the benefits it gives our clients

A really nice time who were both knowledgeable and understood our business. The sales process wasn't too pushy and in the end we were seamlessly able to integrate CAMS into our existing processes

Excellent product - quality support and real value-for-money

CAMS and iGroup have been fantastic. The overall package is really excellent value-for-money to us. They are a solid business partner and would highly recommend them to anyone wanting a reliable and effective cloud management partner.

Effective in cost management Support services are second to none Setup was awesome - efficient and spot-on in identifying and fixing pre-existing issues.

Cons:

None. So far we are extremely happy with it. Wish we new about them sooner.
