Pros:

Costs are much lower compared to VMware and similar platforms. Support and upgrades are included, which is a big plus.

Cons:

After using FishOS for sometime, I’ve rarely faced issues, and whenever they appeared, the support team resolved them quickly.

Great platform for managing private cloud

FishOS became a huge relief for our team, we now can spend more time on our projects and don't stress about our cloud. OpenStack turned out to be a perfect base for our system.

OpenStack updates are smooth and quick with their FishOS Upgrader component, we didn't experience any downtime to get the latest version.

Cons:

If your team/operator doesn't have prior OpenStack experience, it takes a bit of time to get used to the system.

The best option available for a managed OpenStack solution on the market.

I appreciate that we’re still using an open-source foundation, but now with added automation tools and dedicated support. FishOS truly offers the best of both worlds.

Best choice for managed OpenStack on the market

With FishOS, we now can run more servers with fewer people. Efficiency improved, and also the scaling is not confusing anymore.

Reliability, And Support Team. The system itself is already reliable, but include with High Expertise L1 support from Sardina, when a trouble arise we quickly can get it done, since the L1 feels Like an L3 Support.

Cons:

Perhaps the UI, since it come from Openstack, we still have the default UI. So for some advance capability, we still need to use CLI.

It has complete service features, simple and easy to use. and also has high availability among data centers. Although it has many features, it is still easy to use from an administrator's perspective compared to other cloud platforms

Cons:

There are no serverless features, memory caching, machine learning and AI features.

I like the support that Sardina provides for the FishOS starting from deployment, operational issues and upgrade support. The platform is stable enough that we don't encounter any major software issues.

Cons:

Since FishOS is following closely toward the vanilla openstack, I am not seeing a lot of Sardina owned components in the FishOS. I would love to see other services such as backup or disaster recovery that could work within the FishOS environment.

The FishOS environment is very stable and reliable. The vendors support is timely, responsive and demonstrates a deep knowledge of the stack. The FishOS stack is capable of handling complex workloads and virtual architectures. Zero downtime upgrades is a huge advantage.

Cons:

Unable to really think of any negatives. The product delivers as does the company.

Platform 10 uses centralized (SaaS) management, whereas FishOS offers fully local (on-prem) installation

Reasons for switching to FishOS

Reliability. The original product we used had continual issues with stability.
