About IndySoft

Indysoft Calibration Management is a hybrid maintenance management solution that caters to businesses of all sizes across various industries such as aerospace, aviation, manufacturing, research and more. Key features include compliance management, multi-station management, asset management, label printing, due-date tracking and statistical-data reporting.

Indysoft Calibration Management offers users a process-modeling engine that allows them to re-configure the event-driven workflows with checkpoints, rule sets and documentation at various points along the equipment path. It also provides users with a centralized dashboard, process flowcharts, foreign-language support and multiple views and sessions.

Additionally, IndySoft Calibration Management supports integration with Firebird, SQL Server, Oracle and MySQL databases. Services are offered on a monthly subscription basis. Perpetual licenses are also offered to users for a one-time fee.

The solution can either be deployed on-premise or hosted in the cloud and offers support via phone, email and an online knowledge base.

Is indysoft worth it?

Indysoft is great solution for teams or businesses which need proper calibration and asset management

Pros:

1. Indysoft allows me to customise almost everything according to my work need which improved my workflow 2. It provides me detailed insights of assest usage, location and performance 3. It has user friendly interface which makes it easy to use even for beginners

Cons:

The only thing i disliked is its pricing is quite high for small business or team with limited budgets.

IndySoft continues to be great Calibration Management Software

My experience with IndySoft has been pretty good overall. I like the fact that there are regular updates which means they are constantly working on fixing issues and including new features.

Pros:

It's intuitive and easy to use with a solid set of features. It allows you to get into the weeds and modify many characteristics of your equipment and how you document them.

Cons:

Changes seem to happen fairly often between updates without much warning. It's not a bad thing, but it can catch you off guard.

Reasons for switching to IndySoft

The switch was performed by my predecessor, and I don't know the details.

I love the fact that Indysoft from day one has a flexible management process, it’s has a centralized calibration and make its documentation easy and trustworthy.

Cons:

As honest as it should be Indysoft is a powerful tool for use in many assets, the team needs dedicated training,during implementation its configuration takes time.

Indysoft for the win!

Overall, our company Joint Matters, loves Indysoft and the team. We have had great success using its program to create our calibration documents.

This program is simple to use and has amazing features to implement. Its standard set up is pretty much the ay we operate with some small things extra.

Cons:

Implementation of additional features is a large investment of time. There is a steep learning curve when going outside the standard set up.

Versatile Software for Any Lab

Migrated from old system in 2022, implementation was very helpful with customization support and training. I took an interest in learning as much as possible to best support internally as a System Administrator, [sensitive content hidden] was very helpful with showing me the "ins and outs" and was very efficient with our time. 2 years and we are still evolving into the system as it has a lot more to it than our previous software. I would perhaps like to see something like online beginner/intermediate/advanced training courses as purchasable options for the more complex functions.

Pros:

Very versatile. Can accommodate nearly any specific need for internal calibration support with the right configurations. Friendly user interface, easy to train new members to use. Implementation Specialists are fantastic.

Cons:

Some functions/modules such as Print builder and Test Points could use more documentation in the user's manual. Much of it is trial and error, or reliance on IndySoft Support. Without an internal knowledgeable System Admin well versed in the business, it can limit what you get out of the software.

Reasons for choosing IndySoft

Not very flexible. "Clunky". The functionality was not compatible with our other systems and processes.

The functionality and versatility was desired for internal calibration lab support.

I have used IndySoft ever since it was launched but almost giving up in pursuing its best application as required by our local industry.

Its technical capability as an Asset Management tool and also a Quality Platform

Cons:

The flexibility in striking a deal with IndySoft to roll-out IndySoft from being a laboratory tool to being a national tool by buying more licenses for remote connectivity to various stakeholders (Clients, Regulators, etc).

Overall, the software is very functional with only issues truly being the speed of the custom scripting.

I like the customer support, customization, and accessibility. Searching for things is made very easy with the search features in Indysoft.

Cons:

Quite a few of the custom scripts run fairly slow compared to the out of the box solutions, but the custom parts were needed for our specific application

The software was no longer supported by the company that produced it.
