Arena QMS System Review

Arena overall provides many features that are extremely useful for a Quality Management System. The features and interactions between the different systems and Worlds available are the key to establishing our QMS.

Pros:

Moving our change control and corrective action processes from other systems into Arena has been a game changer. The risk of losing records has been reduced dramatically. The workflow status of both the change control and corrective action processes provides the needed visibility for our organization.

Cons:

Some of the user functionality is not intuitive which makes navigation of the system by part-time users challenging.

Awesome QMS

Overall, the QMS has been great and well received by all individuals at my company. The customer support received has been outstanding. There is always a quick response when questions are submitted online. And the dedicated customer specialist that I can schedule 1:1 time with to guide me through certain questions or show me how to do something is amazing.

Pros:

The quality processes are customizable to conform to the needs of my company. And being able to assign tasks to internal personnel as well as suppliers is truly valuable. Between the online classes offered prior to implementation and the dedicated project manager put the learning curve to a minimum.

Cons:

I would like to see the implementation of version control. Additional information may be received after an approval is completed, or after the entire process is closed. Being able to have version control with the same quality process number would be helpful. Especially when trying to document hard deadlines such as FDA MDR reporting. The cost is a little on the high side. It would be helpful to have "shared licenses" as I have seen with other software. There are many individuals within my company that only occasionally on Arena. So being able to "share" a license instead of having to pay for multiple would encourage an expanded use of the system and features

QMS Chronicles: Arena Edition

The Arena customer support has been great and helpful. I think the learning curve can be faster if there is a training for new users. When I started there was no QMS training in the package. I training needs to point out how the QMS world behaves different from the Items World. I needed to reconfigure some of my steps and process mapping.

Ease of use, flexibility, and implementation. I can create templates easily and share with the team. I can copy templates from one workspace to another one.

Cons:

- File management. I can update and modify attached files under affected after completion of a step or the request. This is a big deal specially when there is an approval requirement. - Group attributes behave different in the QMs world.

Great software for building a new Quality System

Arena is a great software to quickly build a Quality System aligned with the Bill of Material and lifecycle management functions.

Arena offers easy customization of the Quality module workflows so they can she be shaped to meet your own logistical processes and Quality System needs. Likewise, the Change Management module can be easily customized to suit the company's needs.

Cons:

Report module isn't helpful on it's own. All data needs to be exported to Excel and cleaned up before it can be used for anything.

Reliable QMS for Managing Product Changes and Documentation

Overall, Arena QMS has been a dependable system for managing changes and documentation. It’s not the flashiest software, but it gets the job done and keeps everything consistent and auditable. There’s a bit of a learning curve at first, but once you figure it out, it becomes a solid backbone for product and quality management.

Pros:

Arena QMS does a great job keeping everything connected — parts, documents, and change orders all live in one place, which makes it easy for engineering and quality teams to stay on the same page. It’s reliable, cloud-based, and works well for collaborating with suppliers or remote teammates. Once you get familiar with it, it’s super helpful for keeping processes organized and traceable.

Cons:

The reporting and export tools could be better. It sometimes takes a few extra steps to get the exact data you need, and the interface feels a bit dated in spots. There’s also not a ton of flexibility to customize things exactly how you want, so you kind of have to work within Arena’s structure.

Does the job its designed for.

Arena QMS provides to service we need to help complete our tasks as Quality Engineers. However, the system navigation is not intuitive, and some of the document specifications are confusing or misleading.

I like how the Documents (Items, changes, quality, etc.) are linked in Arena. It helps tell a story.

Cons:

Navigation, I have to get my document title just right to find the Item I need. Trying to find items or use the search function is bulky and frustration. I should be able to filter out Obsolete or other items.

ARENA PLM review for Mech CAD Process

It's a great software, using for over an couple of years now. really helps maintaining the drawings & documents with ease without any hassle.

Ease of accessing files from previous versions/revisions. really helps for maintaining production and prototype drawings without merging them. limiting access to people based on their clearance. recent updates have made linking and adding the files easier.

Cons:

Once i add the parts / assemblies in the Design change order(DCO), i would again have to add all the same parts to Drawing request(DRW). an option to directly reflect those parts in each other once its added in either of them would be helpful

Pretty well, but there is a significant learning curve. A few of the functions are obscure and I'd not have found on my own.

Searching for documents isn't really intuitive. They tend to bring me far too many results for my searches.

Lightweight and Practical

Good. Compared to other QMS which require downloads onto PC = crashes, this browser-based QMS resolves it and is lightweight.

It's intuitive interface and centralized control over product documentation, change management, and quality processes. It significantly improves traceability and collaboration across cross-functional teams, making compliance and audits much easier to manage.

Cons:

Can do better in allowing things to be easily sorted quickly. Causes different teams to do things differently.
