Best wine production software I've ever used

What can I say? I love everything about it. Implementation and training go quite smoothly and operation is a breeze. I don't myself use the vineyard module, but I hear good things. Overall, Innovint pays for itself many times over in eliminating frustration and minimizing wasted labor.

Pros:

Written by winemakers, Innovint functionality is intuitively obvious to any winemaker with zero learning curve. Its cloud-based interface isn't subject to viruses and hacking and is accessible from any device anywhere. I love being able to drill down from my California office into the details of my mid-western winery clients' activities. The 3D tank maps are a big step up from the old dry erase board - I got my wall space back!

Cons:

I wish there were a planning tool to try out racking scenarios in a separate "sandbox." I also wish there were customizable icons for the 3D map, as we have some pretty weird vessel configurations. Another concern is that when I recommend the software, I'm never quite sure what they're charging now. I got in when it was incredibly cheap, so I don't begrudge the price increases, but I hope they've stabilized now.

Reasons for switching to InnoVint

Amphora is cheap but too primitive - might as well use paper. AMS is an online system but reports are tedious to create and hopeless to decipher. Winemaker's Database was the best thing going twenty-five years ago, but costs a fortune and is now quite out of date.

Forward thinking and easy to use.

We've used other platforms and felt like they all fell short--Innovint has everything you're looking for and more. The ease of functionality is a breath of fresh air.The customer support is amazing--if you don't know something they'll make it a priority to get you help.

Pros:

This software is easy to use, and easy to implement. It's pretty much everything you need to track and care for your wine.-- Some things you don't know you need until you don't have it, but for 99% of things innovint already has you covered--they've already thought of it.

Cons:

Case goods management is our least favorite feature because it's a little tedious--but the overall coverage is great.

Reasons for choosing InnoVint

We looked at other options but innovint was the most versatile and had all the features we needed. Innovint also didn't give us a bunch of fluff to bring us on board--their product really is as good as they lead you to believe.

Reasons for switching to InnoVint

Ekos wasn't a match for us-- top two reasons we switched:1. Their platform was built for beer making not winemaking.2. Their customer service on a scale of 1-10, was a 1.

Pros:

The software is mostly user friendly. I have extensive experience with Winemaker's Database (user hostile), and Vintrace, which is probably the overall leader in the field. I definitely feel that continued development of Innovint, where they are quite responsive with user feedback, will push the software to the top of the pack. Good to have Innovint on the cloud.

Cons:

Oh, just little things. Not being able to open up a new tab, without logging in. Some inflexibility, like having to choose lots with additions. No major issues off the top of my head. However, if I find any serious bugs, I will definitely supply constructive criticism going forward.

I enjoy the fact that this software is very intuitive and user friendly. Looking at all the data in realtime is a big help to run the day to day operations.

Cons:

Some features could be smoother such as certain actions or additions will not be recorded as a volume change, therefore learning the intricacies of the program and knowing you must do a volume adjustment to get the compliance reporting correct.

The user friendliness of the program made it very easy to teach staff how to keep us compliant.

Pros:

I really enjoy how user friendly and intuitive the production software is. Coming from a different software, we were very pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to get up and going with InnoVint. The last software we were using was great on the surface, but proved to be too cumbersome for the production team to use on a daily basis, usually getting more fed up with it than not, essentially rendering it useless. With InnoVint, even with minimal amount of training, the team has been able to get started and going using this software. A huge improvement to what we were previously doing.

Cons:

So far, we haven't found anything we dislike about the software.

The previous software was too cumbersome for the team to use.

Early to the product but already a massive step up from our last software.

I’m mostly a partial user with delegation to other staff but it’s already been refreshing from the last software used in our industry.

It understands winery and vineyard protocols and flows intuitively with use.

Cons:

Some of protocols can be confusing at first. I.e. topping wine. We’ll use a keg of wine to top all whites or reds and can be monotonous to check each barrel the wine went into.

Reasons for switching to InnoVint

Too difficult and resistant to update from Beer models. Including updating language that isn’t used in wine production.

Extraordinarily easy to use through an intuitive and obvious interface. Very helpful pumpover scheduler, crush schedule and work calendar.

Pros:

Ease of use and functionality are the strengths for sure. It isn't nearly as complicated as others and you don't need to be a coder to understand how it works.

Cons:

Has a difficult time with complex operations. When there are complex wine movements it can get bogged down. And if there are too many lots on one work order, the system freezes.

Easy to understand, and to implicate into high end winemaking. Really clean and crisp interface. Happy to continue using.

Cons:

Not as easy for larger production. Innovint is great, but does need seem to have all of the bells and whistles.

Makes it very easy to file required reports to TTB, and to track and look up historical information on wine production.

Pros:

Love the ability to enter work orders at my computer and have my staff receive notifications and provide updates on completion via the mobile app.

Cons:

It can be tricky to write work orders that capture every single detail of a wine movement and adjustment - but that's more about figuring out how to write everything down in a formulaic way than it is about the software.
