About STACK Build & Operate

SmartUse is a cloud-based construction app that helps companies with things like:

Blueprint viewing, document management, markups, stamps, layering, light estimation, punch list issuing, tracking, reporting.

Based on the National CAD Naming Convention, SmartUse will auto-hyperlink your index sheets and detail callouts. With a single click or tap, you can jump to a specific plan from the index page. Once you are at your selected plan, you can also open any detail callouts.

The platform's issue tracking module provides users with workflows for assigning and tracking punch list items, inspections, QA/QC, safety issues, all in real-time.

SmartUse transfers users' information through 2048-bit SSL encryption technology and hosts it on the Microsoft Azure cloud.

It offers mobile applications for iOS devices, which enable users to manage their business activities remotely.

Services are offered on a per-user/per-month basis and support is extended via phone, email and an online knowledge base.

Review of SmartUse by a Quality Coordinator in Toronto

Excellent experience. I use about 13 apps at work. SmartUse is top three, with outlook and chrome being the other two.

Pros:

- Its a working file that is live. It is an anchor. All the teams refer to it. In our core meetings the host uses the live binder to enter in updates.- Level of details: Every aspect of our project/binder can be found in the Live Binder. Smartsheets capability to be able to capture all aspect is what makes it so useful.

Cons:

I don't like the long rows. They are too long and I can not see all info in one view. I always have to scroll to the right or left.I don't like how MS Outlook is not integrated well in Smart sheet.

Amazing software we can't live without !

- The fact that every user has the most recent version of every document is essential in construction. - Software easy to use and intuitive to work with everyday

Cons:

We are looking forward to the new additions in development to improve the software. The objective would be to centralize the majority of project management in the same software.

Reasons for choosing STACK Build & Operate

The software was recommended by another company that had been using it. After contacting Smartuse, we were able to receive a demonstration in person of all the features it has to offer. The variety of options that was presented offered a better organization with our projects than other products.

Pros:

I really like that it's very user friendly and you dont need to take a whole ''course'' to learn how to use it. It's easy to find everything you need to manage your project and your documents. As a subcontractor doint business with different contractors, I don't want to use complicated applications. SmartUse and simple and complete.

Cons:

Nothing really, in my opinion, it's one of the best options out there for project management.

Really nice app to help me manage my projects

great but important Changes to be made

We use it for every projects we have on the daily... BUT the problems I cited NEED to be corrected rapidly if you want to have a better product.

ease to use, mobility, time saving and speed of use

Cons:

- the program is extremely heavy and is slow if you have a lot of projects/pages- you need to add more colors to the palet so we don't have to use multiple time the same one- if you want to remodel a shape that is on top of another one, you have to click every time to select the correct shape (time consuming and annoying)- you deleted the groups (calques) on the mobile version- Sometimes, the "session is expired" and you have to click on "ok" multiple time to log in your account again for no reasons

Ability to link to different Program

The ability which let you compare items in between two drawing in one look

Cons:

1- Sometimes program doesn't work during a simple search, for example when I typed 2005 as the drawing Number, it doesn't pop up and I had to search it Manually in between drawing2-Sometimes I need to zoom in to the drawing for example details of wall blocks, which is not possible, it would be better if smart use provides a small box which bring user to shop drawing section (or it could be linked to Auto cad with permission)
