About Fade In Pro

Designed for writers in theatrical productions, broadcast media, and other sectors, Fade In Pro is an on-premise screenwriting software that helps write scripts, outline documents, and manage revisions from a centralized platform. It lets screenwriters highlight texts, add page breaks, customize fonts, and format scripts based on dialogues, characters, shots, transitions, and more.

With Fade In Pro, staff members can insert images, collaborate on tasks in real-time, organize scenes, and customize story elements. Employees can utilize the Navigator functionality to transition between sections, create nested sequences, and add bookmarks or links to various sections. Additionally, writers can read scripts in page-only modes, generate breakdown reports, view dialogues of specific characters, and track color-coded document modifications.

Fade In Pro lets team members add watermarks, receive autocomplete typing suggestions, and import or export files in formats, such as TXT, HTML, or XML. It is available on a perpetual license, and support is extended via documentation and other measures.

Fade IN Pro to Write a Play

I loved the price, the professional documents, and the amount of space used for my work. It has helped me to be creative without worrying about the format or correct structure. The shortcuts and initial setup allow me to just get into the writing. Fade In Pro is a great product if you can't afford Final Draft.

Pros:

Fade In Pro is my go-to software for all my scripts and plays. I love the format settings that allow me to update, back up and even review. I use the android version as much as the Mac version. The templates offer the formats I need for my writing. My novels, scripts, and plays have a place for me to work on, I don't have to worry about saving them, and I can write anywhere, anytime. Fade In Pro is simple, easy to read, and doesn't clutter up my limited space on my phone or my computer. So many programs try to be everything to everybody so it is refreshing to find a program that is just for writers. I can download them into several different formats and have a workable document to edit. I recommend this to any writer looking for a way to simply write that won't. clutter your phone.

Cons:

Fade In Pro could improve its product by making the switch from computer to phone app easier to handle and understand.

An affordable and highly useful option for those who write scripts

Fade In Pro makes it so easy to create interactive scripts and video scripts for the projects I do. Plus, the customer service is unparalleled. And, it provides free updates on a regular basis to make it more useful, stable, and helpful.

Fade In offers what a lot of other similar apps do, but at a much lower price! It's feature set is robust and it allows you to pull in different file formats easily.

Cons:

Nothing. It's a near-perfect app. I've had no problems with this app at all. I have had a very positive experience with this app.

SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! Switch to Final draft.

***BEWARE***The software is beyond terrible. I downloaded the software for my Chromebook. It uses a Linux component and it will suddenly shut down on you in the middle of writing. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!! I even reached out to the technical support for the past 7 months and no answer how to solve it. If I could screenshot the conversation, basically telling me that they have issues with Linux/ Chromebook. Do yourself a favor and switch to Final Draft. Well worth the cost. The mobile app is worst.

I like that it doesn't crash constantly like other name-brand screenwriting software. I also like that it NEVER charges you for updates, which seems to be the bread and butter of others. It has all the tools I need to write the way I want to with a simplistic, easy on the eyes design.

Cons:

I can never remember where my backups are saved on the extremely rare occasion that the program does crash, usually due to something else going on with my computer. It always makes my anxiety ping, but only for a brief moment before I Google where I'm supposed to look and recover my document

Reasons for switching to Fade In Pro

Because it kept crashing, had terrible customer service, and was only interested in getting me to buy newer versions of itself rather than helping me with the EXPENSIVE version I already did own. Not only that, but prior to an update they made me download due to my upgraded computer, it was working fine. They convinced me to download said update to prevent problems when all id did was CREATE problems!

Pros:

Better than Final Draft, by a mile. Much cheaper than Final Draft. More reliable than Final Draft. More intuitive than Final Draft. More features than Final Draft. Easier to use than Highland, which is the other good one, and it has an iOS app, which Highland doesn't. The only option worth considering.

Cons:

Nothing. It's the best screenwriting software around by a mile.

Pros:

Fade In has all of the primary features you'd expect from a piece of screenwriting software. And unlike other programs such as Final Draft, it's even more accessible, supporting Windows, Mac and Linux, not to mention their mobile app for Android & iOS. This means I can easily work on my projects between a Windows machine, a Chromebook, and an Android phone.

Cons:

In 2021 it must be said that some of the user interface is... not ugly per se... but not very beautiful.
