About Aerospike

Aerospike is a NoSQL database platform, which enables businesses to streamline processes related to cross datacenter replication, load balancing, application monitoring, enterprise security and more on a unified platform. Professionals can configure audit trails, role-based access permissions and authentication to protect data.

Businesses in retail, advertising, online gaming, telecommunications, eCommerce, banking, and eCommerce sectors can use the cross datacenter replication functionality to synchronize and replicate data across geographic locations. The on-premise and cloud-based platform optimizes data paths, memory accesses, and CPU caches using a C programming language. Additionally, the system stores historical data for reporting and visualization purposes.

Aerospike's provides whitelisting capabilities allow organizations to manage granular access restrictions at the user and domain level. An open-source edition is available for the product and subscriptions are provided on request. Support is extended via FAQs, forms, documentation, phone, and video tutorials.

    A quick real-time database for your applications!

    The overall experience with Aerospike is highly positive. In particular database response times are short enough for real time applications.

    Pros:
    The database structure made of namespaces-sets-bins allows to store many different data for different purposes. The Spark connector is helping me linking Aerospike to our existing computation platforms.
    Cons:
    There is no clear documentation (so far) about all the error code you can encounter while working with Aerospike

    Pros:
    We were looking for speed and scalability, and with Aerospike we got exactly that. It's simple enough to manage, has some additional monitoring tooling. To avoid nasty surprising when buying this software - make sure you read the docs thoroughly, at least twice.
    Cons:
    It's quite expensive. You have to use Aerospike's client libraries, which don't always offer compatibility with all the Aerospike features (mostly Ruby). Remote training sessions are very basic, you'll better off reading the documentation and asking support specific questions if anything's unclear.

    Operation per second was fastest among other in memory DB
    Cons:
    It has no transactions -- the biggest flaw of this software, unless you are using it only for memory store it works great
