Great partner and support for all your Sustainability efforts

Futureproof make my and my client's lives easier and a joy to work through all the things we have to for either B Corp certifications, CSRD compliance or Carbon reporting.

Pros:

It's a one-stop shop for all the work I need to deliver for my clients saving me tons of time and saving my clients money. It's super easy to use, and intuitive and the customer support is exceptional.

Cons:

The supplier manager is the one that needs more work but it is still miles better than anything else I've used in the past. And they're constantly working on improving their features which is great.

Wouldn't even try to achieve BCorporation without Futureproof!

I can't fault Futureproof at all. The service is excellent, the platform is essential and the support is ongoing.

Pros:

Working towards the BCorporation accreditation is a daunting and complicated mountain to climb. Using Futureproof made that mountain seem more manageable. The platform is easy to use and helps keep things in order and makes data collection simple. The support from the team is second to none. When I have reached out it has been helpful and prompt responses. I have a designated adviser on hand, but have also had support from the wider team. Logging the carbon emissions was something that I kept shying away from, but the system that Futureproof have in place made it so much easier. Although I am quite for into the project and know a lot more than I did when I first started, I still wouldn't want to go through the process without Futureproof and would still sign up to their service. The level of detail that is given through there support is definitely value for money.

Cons:

I don't actually think this is a con for Futureproof because i think the way they run their platform this way is because the BIA is so complex. However, to gain the BCorporation accreditation you need a minimum number of points, but the platform doesn't show the points given. Instead you work towards a % you need to complete before getting it marked. I think I would have liked to see the point system alongside the % completed as a way of measurement. As I said, I do think this is down to the complexity of it and the everchanging criteria.

Pros:

How easy and straightforward they made everything. Sometimes it's easy to get lost in the whole recertification process but they've made it as smooth as possible.

Cons:

The updated portal took a while to get used to but I think that was mostly out of being used to the older version!

Pros:

The platform has an abundance of resources which allow us to achieve better quality, faster. A lot of the struggle in finding our way through ESG, road blocks and complications with measures has been reduced or removed thanks to Futureproof and the excellent James.

Cons:

A search function would be very helpful, and it is occasionally difficult to find your way without one. Having said that, help is always on hand. Our needs are nonstandard, and as a result the roadmaps can sometimes be a little unwieldy. That said, having a ready made roadmap is a great help, and it can be edited to suit our purposes.

Futureproof

I found it quite daunting to start but with the help of james at future proof and the excellent level of description in the task i soon settled in to using it daily and find it very easy to use,I guess there is a learning curve with every new system you start to use but i never felt frustrated and the learning curve wasnt a steep one.

I found the futureprrof platform very easy to use with everything being very explanatory and well laid out.New features were being added to improve the system.

Cons:

i found surveys to be quite un user friendly however i know the team are working on changing this but other than that which is a small gripe i cant think of anything else.

Reasons for choosing Futureproof

The real contributing factor to my choice to opt for futureproof over everything else was its web based system that allows you to manage mark and track tasks as you work through which the competitors we spoke to did not offer.

Futureproof were a valuable partner, both as a piece of software to help us get organised, but also as a friendly team to speak to for advice. Without Futureproof we would not have met our goal of achieving B-Corp accreditation in our 22/23 financial year.

Pros:

Futureproof provided us with a clear roadmap and set-of priorities so that we could make sense of our path towards being a sustainable business and eliminate all of the distraction that could have cost a lot in time and resources. I saw them as trusted guide holding our hand through set-up of the infrastructure and processes needed to set the business on course to focus on sustainability and ESG. Most of all, I liked the framework of templates and trackers that allowed us to organise and gather the data I needed. The platform also constantly improved and acted as a brilliant one-stop location to access all of the guidance we needed to run that part of our business. This made it easy to delegate ownership and access to colleagues, improving our efficiency and allowing us to make more progress than would have otherwise been possible.

Cons:

We were engaged with FutureProof from an early stage so the interface and reporting was always being updated and improved. Overall this was a positive thing as we were able to help shape improvements to the presentation of data and management options.

Both the Futureproof setup and approach to B-Corp certification are structured and well thought-out. It breaks down objectives into smaller, manageable goals removing larger and often overbearing aims that we wouldn't know where to start on.

Cons:

Currently, I can't think of anything I'd do to make Futureproof better!
