About QuestBase

QuestBase helps businesses create, manage, deliver and online tests, assessments, and certification programs. It features full integration with Blackboard, Moodle, and other LMS systems. It includes an editor that helps users create multiple-choice questions, matching items, text response questions, fill in the blank, true or false questions, and more.

QuestBase includes customizable test templates, reporting tools, and automated grade calculations. It comes with an administrator dashboard that provides data about individual learners by showing the test scores obtained on previous tests.

The platform assists with the creation of new test questions using a library of images, text and videos that can be customized based on the subject matter and context. Pros:

We've had lots of luck incorporating & using QuestBase in our business. It's led to more organized & detailed assessments, and an easy place to find everyones relevant certifications.

Cons:

At first we were unsure if QuestBase would genuinely work. But after a quick consultation, we quickly realized there was lots to gain from incorporating it into our workflow.

Good and Handy with Ease of Usage

I like the paid version as you could link the file with the assessment and also be able to host document at the server will unique URL, I can always share the URL or QR code for people to download the material from the URL source.

Cons:

The answer selections in (Point) form sometimes could be too small for users with bigger fingers.

Currently we are using both system, however, Questbase still a good platform for us to host questions.

TERRIBLE after the update, confusing, the folders and questions are arranged in no order. Difficult to find questionnaires and questions. inexplicable the price increase at a time when schools, in the Covid period, needed it. UNFAIR

Cons:

MY SILVER PLAN GIVES UNLIMITED ASSESSMENT BUT I HAVE TO HAND MAKE SOME OF THE CERTIFICATES. To be able to have the space to upload more certificates I would have to purchase a more expensive plan. I only have a few certificates to add (3 to be exact ) and it would be nice to open a few GB so that I do not have to manually make them. 1 or 2 certificate did not come over with the new platform, but currently I only need to add 3 certificates.

Perfect tool for educators

Just a tool I needed. Helps me save a lot of my time. Once I have gathered question base, I can produce any test I need in no time.

Cons:

Happened that the server was down when I needed to give an online test to my students, but in most cases, everything works.

Technical Support Virtually NON-EXISTENT

Things with Questbase had been decent until about two weeks ago when emails stopped working. Meaning, when students take and pass the quiz, they are not receiving the certificate in their email. Also, I am not receiving the confirmation emails with their certificate attached that I could at least forward to them. I have left half a dozen or mail emails with the Questbase technical and sales departments without one single solitary response or acknowledgement from ANYONE. The time difference, that they are in Europe and I in the US doesn't help any. They have no 800 toll free number to contact them and it has made for the most inconvenient, frustrating scenario for me and my team. We will be looking into using another platform...someone in the US.

Liked having one platform for the quiz, results and distribution of certificates to students. And that fact that confirmation was sent to my email when students passed or failed. This, however has ceased happening as of almost two weeks ago, with no responses from the team there to resolve the matter. And I'm a PREMIUM paid customer.

Cons:

Features like being able to go back into a student's account to correct their name or email address is non-existent. This is a feature that should be built into the platform.

The older version was much more user friendly to use when creating assessments and pulling data. The new version is so very hard to use.

Pros:

Easy way to have students self assess in a flipped classroom model. Instant feedback helps students know where they stand. Once questions are added to the program options are available to have them randomly drawn for each assessment, that means they students can retest and when they do they likely will get some new questions.

Cons:

It’s clunky to add questions and not all that intuitive. It’s also much more expensive than it was. In the past, before last year, pricing was similar but there was an educator pricing option that dropped the price by over half.

I liked that it had the exam features we needed (not all but the essentials)

Cons:

This company does NOT respond to communications. We have paid them for at least 8 years and when the site is down, which happens every few months, there is no communication from them whatsoever. We keep having to issue refunds to customers. It is difficult to get our questions off the system. We will be leaving soon. The system is also MUCH more complicated and outdated than any other out there.

Questbase is Great for Quizzes

I needed an online testing system that would instantly grade, provide a nice looking test result that could be printed and automated.

The ease in setting up the test. The way the test results are delivered immediately to the student and are clear, large font and good design.

Cons:

The pricing. Unless you are on an annual plan, the monthly rate is overpriced and does not have an auto renew. Each month I have to go back in and reorder. It doesn’t store credit card information either for my payments. This piece needs to be updated for both automation and pricing.

Reasons for switching to QuestBase

Needed the instant test results that have a good appearance.
