About PestPac

PestPac, a WorkWave software, is a web-based field service management solution, offering features to help improve productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction. PestPac is a scalable solution that can serve single technicians or large business with multiple technicians and staff. PestPac provides a solution to track and manage field technician activity, sales processes, job scheduling, customer invoicing and billing.

The solution offers tools to improve lead flow, optimize route plans, and track appointments. The digital logbook allows back-end users to navigate through documents, inspection reports, certifications and other key business documents. In addition to the core features, the solution also offers few additional modules like GPS tracking and route optimization to enhance product capabilities. 3 years and counting, still enjoying it!

We think it's great. The majority of problems we've had have honestly been our own fault for not knowing the software. Most bad reviews are from ignorance. If you want idiot friendly, then we suggest you go elsewhere. You need to learn this software properly, get trained, and pay attention! Use support if you don't know by calling in and getting your questions answered. We have never had a problem with support either if there was an issue. They have helped us through step by step every time we've called so we don't understand why people say there's no support.

Pros:

Pestpac has everything you need to run your pest business. There's a reason why it's a standard. Easy to generate any report we want or put in materials, or customize anything especially pesticide reporting which is a huge deal for us. Many other software programs do not have proper pest reporting elements. It's very deep, or you can set it up and run it simply.

Cons:

Although this seems to be every software we have tried, the ability to keep clocked in once midnight occurs for overnight shifts without having to time out and time back in again. Every software company has this issue for some reason that we know of. The software use of the camera does not register barcodes well for scanning devices, tried with different phones and still an issue. We just click to register the device manually or use a separate scanner. These are the only reason for us specifically why it's not 5 stars. More of a 4.5

Pros:

The software is very reliable. We use this daily and it never fails. Very easy to create customized reports. E-mail and text notifications to customers for appointment notifications work extremely well. Customer service is very quick to respond to any problems or questions if needed. I highly recommend this product.

Cons:

We tried the mobile app. What we did not like about it was that the technician could not look up customer histories of past jobs. The only thing available was the jobs listed for them to do, could not add a customer on the fly if needed. That had to be done on the administrative side at the office. The app did not suit our needs so I cancelled the mobile app service.

The software is relatively easy to train users on, it is an efficient, near all in one solution for the business. Simplifies route management and scheduling, increases efficiency in the office and the field.

Cons:

Some of the base reporting around change log tracking seems incomplete. It doesn’t track changes to some fields. Gap in logging from mobile.

Don't buy PestPac!

It was horrible. They overpromised and underdelivered then insist on continuing to bill me for the entire contract when they failed to provide a key service clearly included in the contract.

Seems like there is a ton a functionality, but in order to use it requires highly trained staff for software that isnt intuitive.

Cons:

We were sold a data migration service with our transition from WorkWave Service. They failed to provide this service

Reasons for choosing PestPac

I presumed it would have been simliar to Workwave service. Its not.. its a very capable software but requires lengthy training to perform even basic tasks.

Reasons for switching to PestPac

Workwave discontinued the workwave service product and I thought my team could easily make the switch.. but data migration services offered included in my contract have not been provided.

Not perfect

My overall experience is decent. I wish the support team (over the phone, but at this conference) was more knowledgeable and I didn’t have to submit as many requests and tickets.

I like the varying reports, and once you figure out how to do everything it’s decently easy.

Cons:

I feel like the back end is not user friendly and rather convoluted.

Great work orders for pest control

I like the ease, And Flo of being able to just create work orders create zones in areas and update devices with barcodes without having to spend a lot of time resetting the entire account.

Pros:

For one, the number one feature that I loved about past was the simple fact that when I do pest control, I am able to actually reopen the service ticket and make adjustments if I forgot something a previous pest control application. Once you close out the ticket you cannot go back in and make adjustments or add any notes or pictures to it but with this one you definitely can as long as it doesn’t get uploaded and removed from your schedule usually I have about 24 hours to Make any tweaks or adjustments or add anything or take away from the service ticket .

Cons:

Two things closing out a work order without putting any information in and when using certain chemical products you could pick any pest to go with it, even pest labeled for that particular insecticide was not covered , which could cause you to improperly document
