About ZenMaid

ZenMaid is a cloud-based residential cleaning service scheduling solution designed for maid service owners. The solution offers a platform for users to schedule customer appointments and automate their day-to-day operations.

ZenMaid sends work orders to cleaners/maids in the field and sends reminders to customers for upcoming cleanings. Additionally, ZenMaid automatically sends follow-ups after appointments to garner feedback and referrals and offers reporting capabilities to the users.

At an application level, ZenMaid features contact management, billing/invoicing, scheduling and dispatch and work order management. It’s priced on a three-tiered subscription based on the number of cleaning employees. ZenMaid also integrates with Quickbooks so that owners/operators can export payroll and other financial data helping avoid re-entry of data.

ZenMaid offers support via email, phone, product tutorials and online FAQs.

LOVE ZenMaid for My Cleaning Business!

Incredible! They are always there to help me when I have questions and especially when I just want to speak with a human. They will do one on one video screen shares if there is something you need shown to you.

Pros:

I love that it is specifically for the cleaning business industry! They are ALWAYS adding features and welcoming ideas to improve/add features. The customer service is TOP NOTCH!

Cons:

When I first began using ZenMaid about 3 years ago, they didn't have some features, but they have added them since then.

Honestly, the aesthetics of it. I had 2 cleaners and didn't initially know what I was looking for in a software at the time. Glad I chose ZenMaid!

Zenmaid keeps our business running smoothly!

We have used Zenmaid for many years and will continue to be a loyal consumer as long as the price meets the benefits. Current zenmaid allows us to streamline a lot of our back office and provides great value to our busines.

Pros:

The ease of scheduling is very beneficial. User friendly, saves time entering new clients and provides a client database that captures information from size of home, type of clean, and frequency. You are able to add notes in the app that your cleaners have to read before the assignment. I am able to add if the client was a referal, came from our website, called our office or emailed so it is easy to track where our business is coming from. The automated reminders to clients are a huge plus. Saves us from having cancelations and clients that forgot they were on the schedule.

Cons:

Adding notes in the app have to be translated before entering which costs us time and money. If the cleaner has their app downloaded in their native language then the notes should automatically translate.

Life Changing

When I started my residential cleaning company, we were completely on paper. I started searching for a scheduling software. I had tried several and was unhappy with each of them. Then I found ZenMaid. Not only did they import all of my customers (saving me many many hours), they also put my schedule together and set up my booking page! This software has freed up so much of my time, so that I am no longer spending hours a day working my business. On top of all of that, they have the best customer service that I have ever come across. Thank you ZenMaid for changing my business and giving me my life back!

The other scheduling software's, although the worked for maid services, they were more geared toward other service companies, like HVAC and Plumbing.

The worst software

Extremely disappointed. We went with Zenmaid because we had the impression that it was built for made services. But now that we are working with them we realize they have no idea how cleaning companies are ran and what features are needed for a company to be successful. There is a long growing list of items they are working on and you vote on what's important to you. They are building the software and you are the guinea pig. This is clearly a tech company that has created a software with no to little experience.

We are able to schedule clients easily… With limitations. So far we have not had any issues with our customers getting emails or text message reminders.

Cons:

There are so many to mention. We are contacting tech-support every other day about an issue. They also do not answer the phone but push you to use the chat feature. However it is not a chat since it takes hours for a representative to get back to you. There are other issues that we have had using ZenMaid that they have had to fix behind the scenes. Meaning that it is a software issue and not a user issue. The app works If you don’t make any updates, otherwise you do have to shut the app down and restart it. We have constant issues with our team not being able to clock in and out on the app. Not being able to use any security features when our customers are making payments using a credit card is our biggest issue. They have down right refused to make any modifications to the payment page in order to protect our customers information.

ZenMaid is setting the industry standard for cleaning business owners… and raising it!

I’m very happy with the product and how it performs, the time it has saved me, the potential to learn more of what is already there, and the anticipation of what is to roll out. Also, the customer service is excellent. They are very real and very present. Thanks for everything!

ZenMaid has been the answer to many of the obstacles I’ve faced while growing the number of employees and scaling my business. It is more than just scheduling software, but that aspect alone is where my most immediate time savings was noticed right out the gate. There are many other features layered into it that make my business run more efficiently and professionally. Since it is designed by fellow cleaning business owners, they know the quirks and nuances of the industry, and their software meets these challenges head on and meets us as their clients where we are at. If there isn’t a solution to an obstacle or an idea yet, they are probably working on it now. I’m excited to grow with and be a part of this innovative system.

Cons:

I have very little to dislike about ZenMaid. A feature I’m craving is the ability to track mileage within the app, and I suspect it is already in the works. I also would like the ability to toggle communication preferences within each contact card. For example, not all clients wish to receive Service Ratings so there is a manual step I have to take each time (and remember the specific clients who doesn’t want them, so remember to not mark their job as Complete. If I could mark that preference individually it could prevent the error of flooding them with unwanted messages.

Reasons for switching to ZenMaid

ZenMaid’s way of scheduling matches the way my brain was used to doing in Google Calendar, but the contact cards made it possible for me to have recurring static fields, such as the entry instructions and house info. And the ability to assign the cleaners to the calendar event eliminated countless hours each week of manually doing this. Also it was clear that the information was more convenient and accessible to my employees. WorkYard I spent a lot of money on for only needing the feature of clocking in and out of the job sites and tracking the driving. It is a great product but I didn’t need 80% of its features. It drained our phones’ batteries.

We highly recommend ZenMaid!

I love how ZenMaid offers automated text reminders to not only customers for their upcoming appointments but also the technician that’s scheduled. It’s also very handy to have a customized checklist for each appointment in the app. The customer service team at ZenMaid is always professional and most helpful!

1. I love that we can send automated appointment reminders to our customers and technicians. 2. We can add checklists to appointments 3. That ZenMaid teamed up with my coach [sensitive content hidden] on the filthy rich cleaners podcast. I love listening to it! 4. I love the appointment availability finder feature

Cons:

1. That I can’t bill directly from ZenMaid because I use Quickbooks. 2. I wish we could personalize the review prompts more-a)have the option to add a team photo to our review prompt. b)I wish the automated texts didn’t have such a short limit on characters. 3. I wish we could have a customizable commercial walkthrough sheet that we filled out during the walkthrough and it saved into our ZenMaid for future reference. 4. I wish ZenMaid would add a feature where we could upload cleaning product labels for cleaners to have easy access through the app instead of searching for a files on google drive, etc. 5. It would be nice if ZenMaid had a feature where the owner or managers could upload technician training videos so while the tech is on a job and they need a quick refresher on something they have easy access to information. 6. I wish ZenMaid would have a feature that would allow us to send the completed checklist to the customer with their appointment completion text.

Overall I’ve been using ZenMaid actively since 2021 and I have zero complaints. I honestly don’t know what I’d be doing to keep my business organized and professional the way way zenmaid helps us!

Scheduling for my employees, payroll, help with sending reminders, letting clients know when a job is complete. Overall we couldn’t live without zenmaid.

It is very user-friendly and as a busy businesswoman, that is exactly what I need, I had tried Maidly and it was not user-friendly. I’m just so thankful that I found Zen Maid.

Cons:

My least favorite thing and only issue is that I’m not able to edit my reoccurring very easily. I want to edit the reoccurring one time and it reset all of it and as far as I know that’s not possible I have to actually delete my customer and then re-add them to the contacts and set up reoccurring again
