Very Good Data in One Place

I've had an extremely positive experience with LegiStorm, whether it was working with the product or talking to the people there. Very solid organization.

Pros:

I had the good fortune of hearing about LegiStorm right after a trip to the Library of Congress (LOC). Our organization is trying to help connect constituents to the representatives - nationwide. An ambitious goal. As helpful as the LOC staff is, I quickly realized that it would be a monumental undertaking to get the data I wanted - even for a single state, much less the entire nation. LegiStorm has very good data in one place. Well worth the subscription.

Cons:

I'm must getting used to working with the data, and I don't always find the site intuitive. For example, when I created a list, it took me a bit to figure out where it went to after I created it. Fortunately, LegiStorm has a support team that answers the phone promptly.

Legistorm has the most up-to-date information about Congressional staff, including the policy issues areas on which they work.

Cons:

The interface to query and download info about staff is a bit klunky.
