About Quorum

Quorum is a cloud-based solution designed to help public affairs professionals manage processes for engaging advocates to promote various causes using Facebook/LinkedIn lead ads, inbound texting and personalized communication tools. Key features include campaign management, customer advocacy, legislation tracking, social engagement and advocate management.

Teams using Quorum can grow their network to acquire new advocates by driving subscriptions via newsletters and finding/registering advocates on social media. It allows users to build custom websites or embed various engagement tools to existing webpages such as individual campaigns, issue profiles, sign-up forms and more. The centralized platform stores lists of supporters and maps them according to the level of engagement and legislative districts, allowing enterprises to build targeted campaigns.

Quorum enables businesses to share emails with key contacts, advocates and stakeholders for facilitating communication. Users can measure the impact of campaigns by tracking clicks, open rates and more.

    Terrible functionality and abysmal customer support

    The company is difficult to communicate with, and unable to provide adequate technical support to due to a "backlog" with their technical team. They take no accountability for their actions, do not appear interested in understanding or helping to resolve technical issues, and provide a very poor ROI for the price. For example, their onboarding specialist stated "I’m unable to provide a specific date or date range for when this work will be completed" when asked when our campaigns would be migrated. As a company, I found their staff to be rude and incompetent and sometimes overtly hostile.

    There's honestly nothing positive I can say about this platform. I would give it negative stars if possible.
    Cons:
    We were forced to migrate to Quorum after they acquired Phone2Action. It's a difficult to use platform and they have non-technical staff doing campaign migration, resulting in sloppy errors that then have to be written out by email because they make it impossible to talk to anyone on the phone. We lost many important functionalities that we had in Phone 2 Action. For example: Whereas before we had easy dropdown options to control formatting and insurance a seamless integration with our website, Quorum requires custom CSS to control something as simple as a form or button color; so if you don't have someone in house who can do the CSS, buyer beware. An inferior platform in every respect.

    Reasons for switching to Quorum

    We were forced to switch after Phone2Action was acquired. Quorum then discontinued it and forced us to switch, and took a away a bunch of the functionalities we had, including the very reasons we had chosen to go with P2A in the first place. They forced us to migrate, creating so much extra work we might as well have switched platforms, and refused to make any financial adjustments to our P2A contract, while robbing us of key functionalities and wiping out our sig counts, making us start over from zero. The worst "migration" experience I've had in more than a decade of advocacy work.

    Integration was very easy and fast. They have a comprehensive resource center. The additional tracking features provide great value for our smaller GR shop and allow us to work more effciently.

    There is a bit of a learning curve with the system and takes some training before you're able to get the most out of all the features.

    BAD. We are a small profit without the time for their long courses. We did not want quorum but they bought out the company we chose.

    Nothing. Ever since they bought Phone 2 Action intelligence tracking and reporting is so complex it is taking hours and hours where it used to take 20 minutes.
    Cons:
    Inability to get help on the phone. The help techs leave out steps and clarifications that make it impossible to succeed.

    We didn’t! The company selected by us was bought out and we were forced to migrate.

    DO NOT BUY FOR STATE AND LOCAL LOBBYING

    It's not worth the money for state work. I feel lied to and bamboozled. I could have continued using the state directory and paid the couple of hundred dollars for unlimited use for lobbyist in a box. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS SOFTWARE FOR STATE AND LOCAL LOBBYING!

    It did an ok job at notifying when bills went to committee.
    Cons:
    I purchased quorum for state lobbying efforts. They lied about having contact information for legislative staff. When I then moved to end my contract they told me that: 1. My state doesn't publicly list the contact information for legislative staff. Therefor they will not be providing me with the contact information for any legislative staff, that I should just use the generic email that is also listed on the state website. 2. I need to give a 60 day notice to end my contract Absolutely outrageous!

    Quorum has been very helpful to our organization in accomplishing our advocacy goals, especially in the COVID crisis when virtual grassroots advocacy is absolutely critical.

    Quorum is great because it combines legislative tracking, grassroots, and outbound email into one tool. I picked up on the tool quickly, but the support team is VERY responsive whenever I do have a question or if I run into a glitch. I also appreciate that I don't feel like I am being sold to when I talk to our rep, more that they genuinely want to help our org accomplish its goals.
    Cons:
    Some aspects of Quorum are not user-friendly and take some time to learn. I use Quorum daily, but my colleagues who use it less frequently sometimes have trouble remembering how to complete certain processes like setting up an action alert or policy tracking alert.

    A dynamite tool for helping us focus our efforts most effectively

    Our job as a 501(c)(3) is to educate policymakers and their staffs on very complex issues. Different policymakers and staff are interested in different policy issues. Quorum helps us discern who is interested in what topics.
