About MobaXTerm

MobaXterm is a remote desktop solution which provides businesses with networking tools such as VNC, RDP or FTP and various Unix commands to manage jobs on remote Windows desktop. Features include X11-forwarding, session sharing, password management, network monitoring and file transfer.

MobaXterm comes with built-in graphical tools, which enable developers to drag-and-drop files directly from or to remote servers using a secure SSH connection. The application's multi-tab interface lets network engineers launch different independent sessions, execute light daemons and display terminals in horizontal or vertical through split modes. Using the tunneling tool, IT administrators can create SSH tunnels to redirect traffic from one port to another.

MobaXterm includes a session manager module, which allows users to create and configure remote sessions and save them for further use. The solution is available on a per-user basis for one-time and support is provided via documentation and online measures.

Ability to switch between multiple Remote desktop session especially if you need multiple SSH connection to be active concurrently. And the ability to resume a connection with a single click when the session is on Idle state.

Cons:

File transfer cant be monitored as it is easy to get a file downloaded from a server when connected and that cant be traced for audit purposes.

Best remote network toolbox

I have using MobaXterm for very long time. This tool has helped me out lot in my career. This tool saved our time a lot .This tool simply is a "SWISS ARMY KNIFE" for an IT guy. I would recommend this to anyone who regularly log into multiple systems.

Best Tool for connecting with SSH and File sharing.

Its very good experience to use this tool. Previously I have to manage two tool for connecting SSH and sharing files by using this tool now I am doing all these task in single tool with multiple connections.

By using this tool its very easy to manage SSH connections and downloading files and uploading back to server. As it provides both functionalities terminal and file sharing which makes this tool awesome and reduces the time.

It allows you to connect through different types of protocols in a simple and fast way. Allows you to store the different servers and organize them in a very personalized way. As well as providing a wide range of options to perform your tasks, it can be a bit difficult to find or understand all its functions. With some time you get to locate all the functions and navigate quickly and easily through it.

A MUST if you have multiple SSH and RDP sessions

Pros:

Daily use of the software. You can implement macros, and can access with ssh keys etc.Password managemente also works fine. You can change easily the view of the SSH windows and RDP windows

Cons:

Sometimes, file transfers won't work as excepted. I needed toexit from the SSH session and re-enter again in the VM
