About Hostfully Guidebooks

Guidebook Platform is a cloud-based content management solution designed to help businesses of all sizes in the travel industry provide local recommendations and property information to customers. Key features include custom greeting message, location tracking, remote access, categorization, and AI itinerary planner.

Guidebook Platform lets businesses promote their brand by developing custom travel guides with company logos, colors, and tones. Voice messages can be created and broadcast through Amazon Echo or Google Home devices, allowing customers to access details about available accommodation. Guests can access the Guidebook Platform online via QR code/URL link and receive documents in PDF format through emails.

Guidebook Platform offers integration with Google Maps, helping customers view recommendations, photos and videos of locations relative to properties. With its content management feature, employees can make updates, mark places and arrange items within recommendations. Great value for the price!

I have had a great experience with Hostfully Guidebooks. I would not know how to being to create my own, so I would have to pay someone to create one for me. The price is great and allows my recommendations, house rules, etc be seen by guests. Customer service is always there to help if you have any questions!

Hostfully guidebooks are easy to use. They have everything set up for you, just fill in your information and go. Easy to update if/when necessary. They even have analytics to see how your Guidebooks are performing. Great value for the price.

Cons:

No cons, just my own fault...It took me a little bit to understand how to enter my information into the guidebook. I should have taken the tutorial prior to starting.

Pros:

When I first came across Hostfully Guidebooks I didn't even know I needed it (about four years ago in fall 2017). I used a cumbersome word document to send to my earliest vacation rental clients checking into my condo. It was a very manual process. Now, I own and operate four individual units and integrate my Hostfully Property Management System with Hostfully Guidebooks and we're basically hands-free from running this labour-intensive side of the biz. In short, I'd highly, highly recommend Hostfully from my perspective as a boutique property manager.

Cons:

Integration was a breeze. No cons that I can think of.

Absolutely the best and easiest to use

Our guidebooks are the key to our communications with our guests. They provide all the information on the home from directions to how to find the fusebox. We use the guidebooks for everything and are always looking for more ways to utilize them.

Pros:

Setting up cards that can be used for multiple guidebooks saves time and I love that the recommendations appear on the map as it is important for our particular area. Being able to embed videos to assist with complex instructions make me happy. The absolute best thing is being able to start with one guidebook for free which allows you to get a feel for the software to see if it works for you first. Then, adding on to your "starter" is easy. My guests rave about our guidebooks. They are easy to incorporate into your communication with guests as easy links via email and texts too. Highly recommend.

Cons:

The only pain point I had, and this was when I was first starting out, was the help section. For someone not used to the layout or the software, the lack of a stupid-proof help section was a little frustrating. I understand the chat section and how the "Help" works now, but at the time, it was not as obvious and frustrating at times. It really is easy to use, but some folks may prefer a bit more hand holding by Mr. Obvious when going through the process.

Hostfully Guidebook Keeps Guests Informed if Only They Would Read

My experience with the platform is it has been terrific to work with. There are a lot of features and capabilities that may not be readily apparent to a first-time user, such as how to include the ability for guests to review you after their stay, or how to customize the checkout list, or rename a category. But just know, the platform is flexible and there are many ways to organize and setup your guidebook to be uniquely yours.

The program is tremendously flexible for taking once written binders of information into accessible information whether links, text and/or video. Use of Google Places helps to ensure recommendations are good looking and have all the relevant information such as an image, link, map and whatever information a host would like to write in recommending an attraction, bar or restaurant. Guidebooks created with Hostfully look terrific whether on a computer, smartphone or printed. As a property manager, there's really no need to manage multiple documents of information to send to guests. You can print your guidebook and keep a binder if you want, you can email a PDF version or you can send a link to the guidebook. Hostfully becomes the one place to update all house information, rules, policies and guest recommendations and that's darn handy! And if you are a property management company implementing Hostfully for many properties, you'll appreciate the ability to Brand your guidebooks.

Cons:

Hostfully allows you to manage multiple guidebooks. As an administrator of several guidebooks, how to manage one entry to many guidebooks can be a little confusing until you gain experience with the program. However, the fact that Hostfully has such a capability places it in a unique position so I'd call this also a Pro.

Reasons for choosing Hostfully Guidebooks

Ease of use, especially making recommendation cards, overall features and flexibility, and the end result of guidebook; good looking on any device.

Reasons for switching to Hostfully Guidebooks

No need to reinvent the wheel. Creating your own guidebook will be much harder and time consuming. In the end, you might not be happy with the results and will no doubt lack important capabilities already built into Hostfully.

Hostfully Guidebooks the best option for your gests

Overall my experience has been very good and I think it is a very good option to digitize the guidebook of the apartment to make it easier to use and understand for the guest, besides being able to consult it beforehand in case there is any doubt or problem.

How easy it is to customize all the templates to meet your needs, Hostfully gives you the perfect structure and space to tailor the message to your guests in the way you see it fits.

Cons:

I would like the market place area to be more thought out so that you can offer your own services. This can be done, but in terms of quality and product placemente, it is noticeable that the options that Hostfully brings for its commercial agreements are more careful and have more options to be more attractive to the guest.

State of the art guest guidebook system

We use Hostfully guidebooks to provide a great experience for our thousands of guests. The ability to create templates saves us a lot of time creating new guidebooks. Both our guests and owners are extremely impressed by the functionality.

Lots of great features!! For someone looking at a completed guidebook, it would be very helpful.

Cons:

Extremely complex and challenging to get all the details put in properly on the paid version while waiting for emails to get a response. Would be real nice to have phone support or screen shots to assist. The videos are helpful for the overall site but NOT for specific fine details or when glitches arise.

Cons:

Pop-up windows in each slide cannot be closed by clicking outside the pop-up. Back button must be pressed. Not a huge deal, but slightly clunky.

nice design, good potential, but lacks features.

Cons:

Lacking of basic features. Unprofessional staff when comes to refunds. Sales team very aggressive but no free trial so they oversell its abilities Massive overselling and marketing hype but very much overhyped. Not user-centric.
