About ThrivePass

ThrivePass is a benefits administration solution, which assists businesses with employee enrollments, reimbursements, pre-tax accounts, health plans and more. Organizations can set up budgets and funding frequency to one-time, quarterly or annually according to requirements.

ThrivePass allows enterprises to manage Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) and retiree billing benefits from within a unified platform. Employees can view balances and recent transactions for pre-tax accounts, submit claims with supporting documents, request reimbursements, pay bills and handle debit cards. Additionally, administrators can create divisions and classes, configure benefit plans and access reports to gain insights into staff members' engagement and spending trends.

ThrivePass offers personalized recommendations to support employees' throughout the healthcare journey. Pricing is available on request and support is extended via email, documentation and other online measures.

ThrivePass puts extra benefits mostly on autopilot

Providing additional employee benefits that focus on health and wellness and align well to an outdoors-oriented lifestyle.

Pros:

With ThrivePass, it is easy to extend benefits programs to highlight rewards for healthy habits. Supported reimbursements and merchants fit a wide range of wellness categories, including fitness, equipment, and spa/massage. This offers everyone the chance to use rewards in a way that matches their unique habits. Employees can also easily add subscriptions such as gym memberships.

Cons:

The process of starting reimbursements or cashing out money can be harder than expected. Generally, the larger the dollar amount, the longer a cashout takes. If you're down to the last minute on gear or an event, you may need to plan earlier to get a giftcard delivered on time. Reimbursements can also be tricky if you attempt one for a vendor already in the ThrivePass marketplace - they prefer you cash out rather than seek a reimbursement.

Great Turn Key Option for COBRA and Pre-Tax

We have been a client of Thrivepass for over three years and have just renewed for another three years. Our experience with ThrivePass was great from the first interaction with the sales team. We had a great implementation team and have had the same Relationship Manager since we launched in 2022.

Great customer service. Our Account Manager and Relationship Manager are great and exceptionally responsive when we need assistance.

Cons:

I would like a unified platform. There are separate logins for Thrive Wallets, PreTax Accounts, and COBRA Administration.

Reasons for switching to ThrivePass

Wanted a single platform and a tool to manage lifestyle wallets in addition to pre-tax accounts.

Doordash or Health and Wellness???

Submitting your receipt is kind of a pain to figure out, if you print out instructions first then follow, it makes it easier.

Pros:

I like that we get to pick what we want/need. This is the only perk that Allina gives to us that is actually beneficial.

Cons:

The options are horrible, especially that it is promoted as a health and wellness gift and that it must be used as such, why is door dash is an option? Literally ppl can order McDonalds and I find that hilarious, but yet we have show and have proof of purchase for other "wellness items". Ordering what you want and doing the refund option is the best, in my opinion. Also random staff get an extra $100. Very unfair.

Solid Program

Experience has gone relatively well. I like the auto reimbursement feature for my gym membership. When I submit questions, the answers are delivered timely.

The wide range of things eligible for reimbursement and the ease of the process makes this a great program.

Cons:

The amount is limited to only $500, wish it were more. I have many things eligible for reimbursement throughout the year, so $500 only covers about a 1/3.

Pros:

It's very easy to use overall. Browsing the website is straight forward and the forms that need to be filled are clear.

Cons:

I don't think I've found anything bad so far. Perhaps only the fact it takes a while to get the reimbursement back, but I'm guessing that's not related to the platform itself.
