Add cloud-based access control and make spaces smart with a platform that brings keyless entry, mobile credentials, remote security management, smart locks, visitor management, and identity management solutions from one provider.

The Brivo platform enables all these things and more to elevate employee and tenant experience and improve the safety of all people and assets in any type of physical space.

Thermostats, workplace management, and video surveillance are just a few examples of intelligent environments. With an open API, Brivo Access integrates with hundreds of third-party devices, applications, and platforms to help manage facilities.

Smart spaces start with cloud-based access control. Brivo Access empowers teams to elevate the experience provided to employees, residents, and customers who enter or pass through properties without compromising safety. Operators get more than access control with Brivo. Teams get insight into the usage of space, possible security threats as well as savings opportunities.

With Brivo, businesses can access, manage, and trend asset data all from one location. The technology empowers everyone with data, from security guards to SOC managers to CEOs. Insights such as access events, anomalous behaviors, foot traffic patterns and space utilization trends are all visible with the Brivo Access platform.

Notification Rules are Now Broken

Pros:
Everything is great about Brivo really. I just have the one complaint.
Cons:
Ever since moving to access the notification rules are more cumbersome and time consuming to deal with. Previously, we were able to select from a list that was completely viewable and check off the ones that we wanted. Now we have to scroll through a list and individually select each rule, and then re-open the list again to select another. There is no way to do this quickly anymore, and now instead of taking me 30 seconds to create rules it takes literally ten minutes... why was this changed? It made the whole process much worse. Additionally, new rules have been added that weren't before - with no description of what they do. I have no idea if I should/shouldn't be adding these extra rules. Something needs to be changed, or allow us to use onair classic for changing notification rules. We tried tech support but they had no idea what we meant.

Pros:
The ability to create badges within the system.
Cons:
Look up selection for users in the new system is only by last name, this does not work for Granville at all. Our staff spend too much time trying to find users and sometimes can't if we do not have a correct name. This is not helpful.

Reasons for choosing Brivo Access

Brivo's capabilities and flexibility with the old system.

Pros:
Brivo is very intuitive and easy to deploy and to use. We are able to centrally manage all access control from a single interface regardless of which office locations the person needs access to.
Cons:
I find that the new version of the portal is more difficult to use than the old version. The reporting interface also needs to be redone as it's not very user-friendly.

Reasons for switching to Brivo Access

Cloud version offers centralized control and mopbile app capability.

Workplace Manager review

Great! No issues that I am aware of from an admin perspective, users find it easy enough to install/use on a daily basis. Overall, brivo is reliable.

Ratings Breakdown

Pros:
Brivo is relatively easy for an non-IT person to manager. Our low voltage vendor installed the physical hardware and helped created doors/etc on the dashboard. Once everything was installed, I was able to create a group for our employees. Management of users (onboarding/offboard/troubleshooting) is relatively easy...I am not our IT support, so when issues scale above my knowledge base I will call brivo support. Luckily I haven't had any issues...so I haven't called support yet. For what it's worth, I have a pretty good base-understanding of access control systems (as in, I can create a group, user, pull some reporting, etc).
Cons:
too many apps, why is there a badge app/admin app? would be great to funnel all services/functions under 1 app. I'm actually pretty sure there are three apps.

Good product, but two requests

The system has allowed us to standardize access to buildings and centrally manage our users' keys. We can limit their access when necessary or lock out building access in emergencies. All of this and more has been very helpful to our organization.

Pros:
The web interface is easy to use and effective/stable. Changes seem to propagate to the panels quickly. I really like that the events stream in real-time and that the reports can be scheduled and emailed on the schedule.
Cons:
My main complaint is that card numbers do not sync from Active Directory. This means that, every time we assign/reassign a proximity card, I have to log into the interface to change it, even though we already store that in AD. I have requested this before but the company said they wouldn't allow that. An alternative would be API access so that I could integrate it with my existing change process. But you have to PAY for API access?! I've never heard of that before - this is the only service we have with that requirement. Other than that, the system works very well.

Pros:
What I enjoy most about using this app is the ease of use and ability to access my office at any time of the day or night without having to worry about having the right key or contacting the right person to let me in. It is safe and secure and super convenient.
Cons:
If you are a first time user, you have to coordinate your first time use based on a scheduled time in order for your code not to expire.

Pros:
This software is very easy to use. It is also very easy to make changes, updates, etc.
Cons:
I don't feel that it is easy to educate/help yourself with this software. The help information could be a little more detailed. Although, the customer service is very friendly and helpful.

Reasons for choosing Brivo Access

This was not my decision.

Reasons for switching to Brivo Access

The old product (I can't remember the name) was very antiquated. It was an old database system that was very difficult to update and we had frequent "crashing" problems.
