Cons:

There are few data types which are not supported by the system especially if we are talking about latest stare of the art data types

ThingWorx from a new-users perspective

I've learned quite a lot from using it. I highly recommend taking courses in JavaScript if you're unfamiliar. It will help bridge the gap.

It is very versatile and capable of doing most tasks we've tackled with it.

Cons:

Along with the versatility it's incredibly complex. The learning curve can be quite high for someone that doesn't know the language and is new to a software like this.
