Pet Manager is a cloud-based Pet Services software solution that helps businesses streamline processes related to appointment scheduling, check-ins, invoice generation, customer communications and more on a centralized platform. The pet management module allows staff members to create a customer database, maintain transaction history, track vaccination requirements, record pet-specific notes and send email updates, whilst maintaining compliance with GDPR guidelines.

Pet Manager's bookings functionality lets employees add multiple animals in a single appointment, record personal items, and calculate booking cost based on several criteria, including animal size, sex, nature, breed and location. The dashboard allows users to generate reports to track in-house capacity, pet dietary needs, generated invoices and payments. Additionally, administrators can set up daily data backups, configure access rights, maintain user logs, create email templates and distribute discounts.

I Didn't Know What I was missing until I Switched to This Software.

I am very, very happy with this software, and the owners/employees. I'm so glad I found them when I was looking for a better alternative.

Pros:
I transitioned over from a onsite based booking program to this web based program, and did not know what I was missing. I absolutely love the ability to answer clients, check schedules and book them wherever I am. Tonight I worked from the sauna at the gym. In addition to being so versatile it also much cheaper than the outdated software I was using. It has been easy to customize, and when I set up my initial account they helped me port all of my client info over. The owner's have been extremely responsive to me whenever I have had a question. I am addressed very quickly, and thoroughly. They have walked me through quite a few things that I needed to learn, and taught me ways to make things easier on myself. I chose the monthly billing and have had zero issues whatsoever with it. The security has been great. I have had no doubts at all that my account is safe.
Cons:
The only thing I can think of that would be a fun addition is color schemes and templates, but it doesn't affect the program in any way.

Reasons for switching to Pet Manager

After purchasing the program and spending a large sum on it they updated the program and went online. They no longer supported/allowed me to operate the program I had already purchased and required costly upgrades. I felt like I was being held ransom, and either I had to start from scratch elsewhere, or pay their high fees. Since I felt their customer service was (always) poor, and the ethics of not supporting a purchased program was poor I decided to start from scratch. Once I made the switch to Pet Manager I realized how outdated Kennel Connection was. I have been extremely happy with the switch.

Thanks for your review Geraldine. We appreciate you outlining that our software is good for ease of booking and organisation of the kennels. With regards to the cons. Season settings are in settings > customization > seasons. Documents are in settings > email/sms & documents, Bank details are in settings > invoices & prices > Invoice notes. Regarding the staffing schedule. We have a simple system for automatically scheduling your staff on called "Staff Roster Templates" available under settings > account > staff roster templates. With that you can have preset roster that keeps a set number of weeks rostered ahead. We can't find any tickets regarding any of these issues you raise. Please note - we are always here if you need support. We pride ourselves on our amazing support and hope you utilise it in the future to solve these issues for you. Cons:
Hard to find something that I like least. I don't feel there is a "least like" as the staff are always helpfull if I encounter a difficulty

I find the report menus very helpful to track progress such as occupancy over the years as well as financials. The automations are also good and save a lot of time.
Cons:
I find the Settings can be quite technically challenging, and I often have to ask the customer support to help make changes for me.

Reasons for switching to Pet Manager

I did not like their invoicing or calendar. It may have changed in the last 3 years. But sometimes double bookings got made by mistake and there was no easy way to check up on payments other than going into the individual customer

Great customer service, easy to contact and they are very helpful with answering any questions. they often get back to me within 24 hours, if not sooner. Have developed the program to compliment how i run my business, go so far as to make another page for me. They take on feedback and genuinely care about helping their customer get the most out of the program.
Cons:
Sometimes it isn't very user friendly - but i am able to get in contact with them to help. I'm looking forward to their upcoming upgrades - especially the health check section - this will be a game changer!

Love Love Love Peet Manager!!!

I love it! I am still fine tuning the program to our needs, There are so many customization features! The program is easy to understand and maneuver through when first getting started. This program allows us to easily book appointments and keep track of vaccine records.

Great service easy to navigate

The team walked me through the program when I first purchased and answered any and all silly questions I had. Even gave me very helpful tips in running by business as I was all very new to owning a Cattery. I have very quickly learnt how to use the program. I also love that I can customise days when I want time off and block bookings on my calendar.

I don’t have to spend more time on the phone, gathering information and making bookings. I just direct the client to my website and to book directly through pet manager, most of the time I don’t even have direct contact and the bookings just appear via email. I’m very busy as it is and this takes so much pressure off, without having to remember so much. I just go into my phone or laptop and see what’s on the the next day/week etc.
Cons:
I can’t fault pet manager, If I ever have a problem or can’t figure something out, I just send a message to the help team and within a day I have my answer.

Once familiar with the product it has lots of great features & online accessibility for clients is a time saver at reception! Once clients have created their own profile, it is very straightforward for them to create bookings or manage their information.
Cons:
While understandable, the monthly costs have increased. I would like a couple of the features to be a little easier to implement, namely the deposit function, as well as the option to link to Quicken as well as Xero!
