About Teladoc Health
Teladoc provides cloud-based telemedicine software for hospitals and health systems.
Health systems can implement virtual visits using Teladoc’s technology, which connects doctors and patients virtually via the web, telephone or mobile app.
Teladoc offers bidirectional exchange and APIs to facilitate integration with health systems’ existing EHRs. Users can offer patients 24/7 care through the Teladoc system. The software can be customized and configured for each health system.
Teladoc supports multiple user roles. It offers data extraction for analysis and reporting on health system KPIs, such as admissions. Teladoc also offers marketing support for hospitals and health systems to advertise the offering to patients.

I’ve used the Teledoc app for minor sickness issues that can be easily addressed over the phone or by video. Once setup, it’s easy to initiate a call with a doctor and they’ve always been kind and understanding...and fairly quick to call too!

In total, I have had good encounters with Teladoc. It offers a simple-to-use and dependable pathway to remote healthcare access. It is wonderful for dermatology, general medical consultations, and mental health support. Particularly during busy periods, it is a useful resource for students or anyone who needs medical guidance without the annoyance of visiting an office.

Don't trust Teladoc Health

I used Teladoc Health for a dermatology appointment and ran into significant issues with their platform and customer service. According to Teladoc’s policy, patients can send a follow-up message to their doctor within seven days, including additional questions or photos. When I tried to do this, the platform only allowed me to upload one photo, even though the initial submission had accepted multiple. In the follow-up message, I made it clear to the doctor that I was having trouble uploading the correct photos. I also called Customer Support immediately to figure out how to send the correct photos. While I was still on the phone with Support, the doctor closed my case, leaving me unable to provide the information needed for a proper diagnosis. Over the next several weeks I followed up multiple times with Teladoc. Support agents admitted the doctor was too hasty in closing the case, and told me my request would be escalated and that I would likely hear from a supervisor within a few days. No one ever contacted me. When I followed up again, my requests to either reopen the case with the doctor to get a correct diagnosis, to reschedule with another doctor at no charge, or to receive a refund were all denied. Teladoc also claimed they had emailed me updates, but no emails were ever received (I checked spam and junk). In the end, I paid $89 and never had the chance to get a meaningful medical opinion, and the Customer Service was truly disappointing. Teladoc had multiple chances to make it right and simply didn’t.

General Medical visit August 6, 2025 Provider: [sensitive content hidden] -my wife has a sore throat along with ear ache. This doctor prescribed antibiotic ear drops and said take Tylenol for sore throat. He says viral infection we asked that a antibiotic be prescribed for sore throat. This was unhelpful and the pharmacist said the ear drops prescribed will not be helpful for a sore throat and agreed an antibiotic should be prescribed. We contacted Teladoc an were told to either schedule another visit or contact our primary care doctor.

Horrible I will not recommened. Just needed a referal for an ultrasound. Go the referal 4 days later and it was the wrong code. Showed up to my appt with a full bladder paid for the service and when the office try to connect with them it was imposible
