About ProMDM

ProMDM - Professional Mobile Device Management is a mobile device management solution that provides end-to-end control of all mobile devices across the IT infrastructure.
ProMDM will help you handle your organization’s mobile devices at all stages of their lifecycle – from the initial deployment to the final decommissioning.
Now you can access your corporate resources using iPhones, iPad, Android, or other devices with the highest level of security provided by certificate authentication.
After initial enrollment of your mobile device, your emails, corporate applications, files and data are secure, and yet just a few touches away.
You can forget dozens of usernames and passwords you are using to access the company’s services and applications – use only one passcode that unlocks your mobile device.

Supported platforms and devices are Apple iOS, Android OS and Apple OS X.

Server Components include Linux, Database and NGINX or Apache.

Features of the software are security management, profile/configuration management, compliance management services, device management, reporting, role-based administration, document management, GPS location and tracking

Pros:

Product is very easy to use and developers keep trying to make it even simpler for users that don't have much experience with IT.

Cons:

At the beginning it was hard for our customers - teachers and children in school to understand all the procedures of enrollment (even though ProMDM provided detailed instructions with pictures), but that has been also simplified and our customers now quickly learn to use all the functionalities.

ProMDM review

Working in ProMDM is very fun once you learn how to use it. It offers a lot of possibilities and actions which make it easier to handle a large group of devices. Although it lacks some features it is frequently updated so I'm certain there will be more features coming which will make using the product easier. I work as a helpdesk agent and offer support to school administrators who use ProMDM and the product makes it easy to see excatly what the user is doing and when. This makes it easier to pinpoint the mistakes the user may be doing and avoid them happening in the future.

Pros:

Once you enroll the devices, which are a part of an organisation, it's easy to manage them and to get an overall view of all the devices. The status of the devices is displayed very obviously which is convenient when dealing with a larger number of devices.

Cons:

It's not very easy to learn if you're a user who has never worked with a similar product. What might make it easier would be a help button next to some features or and info pop up before performing actions, especially on a larger number of devices. Also, it would be convenient if there was a way to simply transfer devices from one group to another without having to change all of the tags.

Pros:

Useful commands that can be sent on devices. Very easy application import.

Cons:

Too much side options on the Dashboard (confusing for customers with low IT knowledge). Constant bugs while importing devices. Groups not refreshing right after setting new tags.

Pros:

Very good GUI administration for super users & micro services technology with up to date updates, with minimum loads of CPU and memory. Manipulation of a large number of mobiles / clients in real time. Easy integrations with proxy & AD infrastructure with in accordance with security policy.

Cons:

At his moment I don't have any complaint.

Application of software in the control of broadcasting advertising content on line

Sometimes the system is unstable when placing the material on the devices on sim cards Internet conection and it takes more time for the advertisement to be placed. We are still testing the system through newer digital devices with the latest generation of software so maybe the grades can be higher

It is easy to use and to educate someone else to use it

Cons:

I think it can be improved.Maybe if there is a possibility that the system will display ads that were before the change if something is wrong with the placement of new ads. Or to warn that something is wrong in any way...Now the device stops broadcasting ads and in the system everything seems to be fine

Easier use of mobile devices in business

The solution has a positive effect on increasing the efficiency of the use of mobile devices in business and raising the level of security in working with them.

Preparation of devices for business process (locking in "kiosk" mode with applications necessary for business process). Possibility to use restrictions (prohibitions) on tablets.

Cons:

Efficient management of a large number of devices through groups and automation of administration.
