    Pros:
The network path visualization help a lot with identifying whether there is an issue on the internet versus our company's infrastructure. Their customer support is also top notch and super responsive to any questions I've had.
    Cons:
Would really like to see more alerting options around the enterprise agents themselves.

    Reasons for switching to ThousandEyes

We didn't actually switch, but we added ThousandEyes in addition to Pingdom to have a monitoring tool that was more customizable and gave us more information.

    Pros:
I have been using ThousandEyes for more than three years now and since then it has been a gamer changer for our enterprise generally and our IT department specifically. It has the ability to provide end-to-end visibility into network paths, applications which increased our capability to improve the user experience as we were able to enhance our troubleshooting processes and reduce downtime. ThousandEyes allowed us to reduce the time it was required to fix/solve a major incidents, as it allowed us to point to exactly where the issue is rising and how to solve it. ThousandEyes' interface is definitely intuitive as it comes with a highly customizable dashboard that make tracking key metrics simple. I also value the integration capabilities that ThousandEyes has, it works seamlessly with cisco components so it enable a unified IT workflow.
    Cons:
I believe that there would be a few areas for improvements, for example I think the pricing should be more attractive that how it's currently, as the larger the infrastructure the more expensive the solution will be. I have noticed occasionally delays in updating certain dashboard especially during the peak hours. I would also like to get the functionality of ThousandEyes for offline networks and the isolated components environment as the platform rely on cloud agents.

    Reasons for choosing ThousandEyes

The product's excellent reputation was the main reason of why we chose it over other competitor.

    Pros:
ThousandEyes is barely noticeable on your computer and barely uses any of the resources. You will hardly ever notice it constantly running in the background unless you see it in the task bar panel.
    Cons:
When it was first installed, our company made no announcement and so many of us were startled when we saw a suspicious creepy orange eye appear on our computer taskbar. It looks like a creepy spyware symbol. The company forum was filled with concerns that spyware had been installed. It was resolved when the company posted about the ThousandEyes installation. Occasionally I still get slightly alarmed when I see a bright orange eye appear on the bottom right corner of my screen. I really would recommend changing their logo. The combination of the creepy eye logo and company name "ThousandEyes" really should be reevaluated.

    Pros:
Positives: It is very easy to use: The very user-friendly interface made it easy for engineers like myself to visualize a path in networks and surround every main reason that might cause a problem on Path Visualization: intuitive and effective. Powerful troubleshooting tools: The ability to monitor real-time performance, packet loss, latency, and DNS issues are a big factor in making the mean time to restore services (MTTR) lower in T2 support. Cloud and Application Monitoring: In today's world where companies almost move to adopted cloud services, ThousandEyes allows quick troubleshooting of the connectivity in platforms like AWS/Azure or SaaS applications and partnered traditional networking into modern environments. Collaborative Insight: The ability to share extended reports and visuals with coworkers or service providers eased the communication process in any situation, including escalation.
    Cons:
Deeper Firewall integration: While the platform does diligence for well into the investigation of network paths, tighter internal integration with a firewall vendor such as Palo Alto (i.e., for policy impact) could add enhanced value. Pricing: Smaller organizations may think twice about the entry costs, but in the end, for the larger enterprise, the value usually surpasses this consideration.
