About GalaBid

GalaBid is a cloud-based fundraising solution that helps fundraisers streamline bidding, donation tracking and auction management operations. It enables participants to bid on live or silent auctions, attend online events, purchase tickets, process payments and track event progress through the leaderboard.

GalaBid provides a host of features such as event broadcasting, absentee bidding, remote access, automated notifications, online payments and event analytics. The application allows users to conduct live Q&A sessions, manage campaigns and interact with other members, coordinators and participants.

GalaBid lets administrators collect donations from attendees, manage volunteers, track current contributions through the donation screen and share tax receipts with donors via text or email. Pricing is available on request and support is extended via phone, email and other online measures.

Good but not great

It's hard to beat free, so that's good, and customer support was responsive and knowledgeable. Needs a minor tweak, but I'll use it again.

Overall I found the Galabid software easy to use. The automated checkout feature was handy.

Cons:

There needs to be two post-auction screens - one a concise list of everything that did not sell and another that lists everybody who bought something and what they purchased.

Reliable, Efficient, Excellent Customer Service!

We use them for all of our online auction campaigns and will continue to do so. A lot of other companies have red tape in getting ahold of someone for assistance; GalaBid does not. They are quick and helpful.

Simplicity, reliability, and customer service truly set this apart. The interface is exceptionally intuitive and easy to navigate, making the entire experience seamless from start to finish. The platform performs consistently and reliably, giving complete confidence that everything will work as expected. On top of that, the customer service is outstanding—responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely supportive. Overall, an amazing experience across the board.

Cons:

At this time, there’s nothing that comes to mind. Everything has worked smoothly and met expectations, with no issues or concerns to note.

I would say it's been excellent. It's the 3rd time we've used it and it's been fantastic each time. Having the free (with tip option) this time has made the experience even better.

the online chat is excellent. the reporting features afterwards are great and the online auction features like all the extra details you can tweak and the comms functions are also excellent.

Cons:

I can't see the reserve and current bid in my back end view. I can either see bids on each item, but not what the reserve is or I can see the reserve but can't see what the bids are at. I don't want to have to download a report to see these details side by side.

Our organization had a fantastic experience using GalaBid for our virtual silent auction! The campaign was incredibly easy to set up, and we appreciated the ability to provide multiple photos for each item and reorganize the order of the items on the campaign page. The interface is also aesthetically pleasing and easy to navigate, both on a computer or mobile device. Bidding and payments were easy to manage for both bidders and admin, and the fee structure is unlike any other – it's such a wonderful tool for nonprofits to be able to maximize their fundraising while using such a helpful site. And, the customer support team is friendly and always available to assist! We highly recommend GalaBid for any organization looking to host a digital fundraiser.

Cons:

We honestly did not encounter any difficulty with the site during our campaign. The only thing to note is that GalaBid does not automatically charge bidders to the pre-authorized card upon winning an item – that would have been a helpful feature to avoid the additional step for winners.

The pricing structure was best on GalaBid – incredible that your nonprofit can keep 100% of profits! The other sites we considered were free for small auctions, but charged fees after a certain number of items was reached. GalaBid also allowed for more customization, such as the option to provide multiple photos for each item.

Smooth, Intuitive, and Perfect for School Fundraising Events

Our experience with GalaBid was very positive. The platform made it easy to run an organized, engaging, and successful online auction from start to finish. GalaBid is intuitive, reliable, and well suited for managing a busy fundraising event. The bidding process is smooth and mobile-friendly, which encouraged strong participation. Donor and event management tools are clear and easy to use, making it simple to track items, payments, and communications. Team collaboration worked well, allowing multiple organizers to manage the auction efficiently. Customer support was responsive and helpful when questions came up, and overall the platform offered strong value - the participants covered the cost!

Cons:

We experienced a small reporting issue related to the buy-it-now feature on auction items, where those purchases were not appearing in our reports. That said, when I reached out through the chat, support responded quickly, clarified that this was a newer feature, and explained that a fix was already in progress.

Easy to use, provided bidders with instant information on their bids, whether or not they were outbid, what amount to bid next. Everything was clear and straightforward. Easy to add auction items.

Cons:

Setting up the billing trough Stripe. Sometime the URL did not work properly and people had to add half of the link.

Excellent choice for online auction platform

We've used Galabid since 2022 to set up and manage an online auction to raise money for our small non-profit organization based in Mexico. At the time, they were one of the few online auction platforms for nonprofits that let us work in Mexican pesos. In addition to have an easy-to-use platform, they have outstanding customer service. We have been working with the same customer support agents for three years now - that says a lot about the quality of this company.

Pros:

There are so many things to love about this platform and the company. The application is easy to set up and to use, and the ability to "clone" auction information from one year to the next saves a lot of time. Our customers find it easy to log-in and make bids - and we work with a lot of senior citizens! And best of all, their customer support is outstanding! Almost anytime day or night they have live humans availble to help in real-time if you have a question. Finally, the fees are reasonable for the service that you are receiving. All in all, I highly recommend Galabid for your online auction needs.

Cons:

My only suggestions for improvement would be the addition of WhatsApp as a way to communicate with customers about the status of their bids.

Galabid gave our event the boost we needed!

We used it to enhance a fundraising gala for our organisation and it was a huge success. We were able to sell raffle tickets very easily and it really made a difference to our cause.

Easy to use and setup, excellent customer service, and really useful to be able to have auction items, raffle tickets, merchandise sales and a donation button all in one place.

Cons:

Setting up the widgets and adding the URL links was a bit "clunky" but once it was done it worked great.

3 times more money raised then last year with GalaBid

It was my first time using a online platform, was skeptical at first since silent auction used to be on paper but wow big different so much easier and less work once closed off, if people leave Galabid has all the info to follow up

Everything and it was Free and easy to get going plus they have great sealed bid items to help you raise more money for your cause.

There was nothing I liked least since the dashboard has everything you need from uploading items with pictures to once closed easy payment platform for all participants
