Great tool that does what is needed

We needed to have a tool with which we can show a presentation and be interactive, we looked at competitors but their payment plan were obscure and difficult, here you pay by credit card for what you need when you need it.

Pros:

What i like most about the product is its simplicity and you can use every feature without having difficult contract negotiations. If and when i need it for a large group i can just pay for the event i want and then use it within that group.

Cons:

Some type of questions are not that intuitive to set up and a bit more features in designs and templating would be nice, also not using meeting software but just ahaslides as presentation and meeting software would be nice

Using Aha slides in the EFL classroom

I have been using AhaSlides for about a year now. I started with simple quizzes and now I am experimenting with having my full lesson content on the slides. I find the interface intuitive and easy to use. I have added it as an app on Zoom and today I am going to try using it with my online student.

Pros:

My most recent favourite feature has been the possibility to embed other games or websites into the slides. I also like the variety of quiz questions and the possibility to leave reactions and comments during the quiz.

Cons:

I would like to see more template variety and maybe the possibility to add disappearing animations but that is just something specific that I often use.

I haven't, I switch between them. I also use Blooket for interactive quizzes with the younger kids.

Kahoot offers limited question variations. Canva didn't have the possibility to add interactive questions (they have introduced it since). Genially's UI is not intuitive and it takes me more time to make presentations.

I like it very much the students find the activities very engaging. However, for all my students to have individual access to it, I would have to subscribe which I cannot afford at this time.

They are very informative and presents novel ways to help with teaching. I like the fact that inclusivity is emphasised.

Cons:

I dont have all the teaching ressources to implement what was presented. The special needs children at the institution where I work do not have access to many learning tools.

Ease and pleasantness of use

I have done many brainstorming slides and helped friends make questionnaire slides and we were all extremely pleased with the results and ease of use.

The thing I love most is the simplicity and versatility of the service Creating slides with quizzes or creating brainstorms to project and interact with the class is spatial! Compatibility between PCs, smartphones and tablets helps the Diffusion.

Cons:

What I didn't find comfortable is the clarity of the paid plans and activities, they are unclear and intuitive.

The best large group game out there

AhaSlides is way more that a game software. However, the ability to host a massive game of 100's or even 1000's of participants is excellent. This is a strong feature that many seek, the ability to engage and interact with your large audience, and to have them interact with you in a meaningful way. AhaSlides deliver on just that.

AhaSlides was the best program I've used so far for large group activities. We were seeking a live host driven "Jackbox" experience, and AhaSlide made that super easy! I've used Kahoot before, kahoot is clunky, goofy and unprofessional. And I hate Kahoot's stupid song and sound effects. AhaSlides was completely customizable! I said it when I was interacting with your support team, you aren't the cheep alternative to Kahoot. But I'll go one step further, Kahoot is the lower quality, more expensive alternative to AhaSLides.

Cons:

On my first use with their software, I had small issue with hardware compatibility on different Mac computers, and our projection system. AhaSlides would not display all the graphics on screen depending on the type of computer and browser we showed it on. We have a state of the art $10,000,000 broadcast facility with up to date video switcher systems. At the end of the day, it appeared that AhaSlides was very inconsistent with the way it displays across different browsers and computers (the most stable environment was a PC running Chrome, the least stable environment was a iMac running Safari) At the end of the day, I am a PC user, but I know that the vast majority of the time when I show up to any venue of any size, that Apple products are going to be used for video. So I need to be ready for any PC or Apple situation I find myself in, and so does AhaSlides. To thrive, your program needs to be airtight across all major platforms. Do not expect all organizations to be able to change platforms and browsers to get AhaSlides to work. Most aren't will to go through that work, and many don't even have that felxibility.

I wanted a better, more customizable platform for leading large crowds through fun stage activities. AhaSlides was perfect!! Kahoot is like trying to paint the Mona Lisa with crayons.

Held off a big quiz until I found the perfectly priced software

Very hapy and the 140 people on the quiz loved it

Price ease of use simplicity no cheating feature

Cons:

I think if it had a host video feature it would be amazing I tried to stream live with Instagram and Facebook using eCamm and the best time difference I got was 9 seconds. I then used youtube and eCam and got 3, not perfect but helped.

kahoot looked more complicated and more importantly it's so expensive and they don't offer a monthly plan on the larger plan

Great Resource for Enhancing Learning and Development

AhaSlides allowed me to differentiate my services for my learning and development company. The software engages learners just how I like. The polls, the ease of use, the fun slides - the spinning wheel and scale slides have made learning more accessible for my clients and learners.

Cons:

There is not too much I don't like about it, but I do miss the ability to be able to purchase access for one-off or ad-hoc meeting or training. I'd like to see how

Pros:

I find the word cloud tool to be the most useful feature for launching workshops. AhaSlides detects immediately what people think about a selected topic. The tool serves both to warm up space and provide a graphical starting point for dialogue.

Cons:

The software's export function does not include visual editing tools so I must work extra hours after each event to prepare the materials.

Built in quiz timer is good for pumping up participants on virtual sessions. I use that during youth workshop to boost energy. Keeping momentum, drives users to spontaneous response and makes learning like a game.

Cons:

I would like to give a bit more time for a specific question if it is complex, but limited by the consistency of the setting.

Great tool for inteactive sessions

I am a business coach with more than 24 years of experience, I conduct training and development programs for managers, sales and customer service specialists, all employees to improve personal and team effectiveness. In 2020 we faced significant restrictions on in-person events, and there was a need to conduct programs online. I compared Mentimeter, Kahoot and AhaSlides. For me, the design and visual purity of the design, the simplicity and speed of creating interactive presentations, the stability of the connection and the convenience for participants were important. Like: General design and design of the program. User's workstation. Functionality and different types of slides. Product development and the emergence of new options. Interaction with support is fast and meaningful.

Cons:

Would like to improve: Templates for slide design were created a long time ago, look simple, and need to be updated. I would like to understand in advance what will change in the program, since sometimes you open it, and it works differently. Recently, there have been a little more bugs, but this is normal for a developing product.
